Rune help pls!

Was quite bored out of my skull today so I decided to reinstall Rune. Installed ok, patched ok, try to run it and bang

Anyone got any ideas? :|

hello!

The error message that you have attached does not tell me much.

Have you used the patch from ftp.barrysworld.com? (for all versions)

If you install rune (1.0) and then update to 1.07 with the official patch it should work.

I hope to whack you soon on one of the barrsyworld rune servers

well if your system meets the requiremetns for winxp then rune should also work. make sure all your drivers are updated.

try to install the cd and then start it to see if that works. it might have something to do with the update as i remember there were several versions of the update (one for rune and one for rune halls of valhalla)

Yep all my drivers are up to date, just in case it's any help my system is a follows!

Athlon 1.3
Geforce 2 Pro
KT7A RAID
Win XP
Gamesurround Fortissimo 2 S/C

Can't think of anything else that might factor in the crash

Still can't get it working, crashes before the patch and after, and it is the correct patch off BW ftp.

I think Rune is compatible with your hardware. you can also try http://www.runegame.com

My machine is:
P3 800MHZ
GF2
WINXP
Soundblaster pci128

and it works without problems.

Finally got a solution from the runegame technicals forums, it's an odd one but it works
