I really hope that is not true, google should stick to search and stop trying to take over the world.

I heard Valve denied it but that means anything these days.

I heard about that, bit odd. I can understand why Google would want to get 'into' the business but I would have pegged them with taking over some web-based games company like popcap or something, as they rake in cash daily.

Think Valve should stay bt themselves for the time-being, they offer a great service thats free and it is always being improved. Not saying a merger or buy-out would change that, but theres more of a risk of it changing.
