I know this could be argued as an RVR thread but wasnt really looking for an RVR chat so this is posted here.

Basiclly I was wondering this...

Getting a grp in rvr can be hard unless you have a decent char/rr/TS/general exp and play often etc.. so for those who split down the middle of pve/rvr rps are few and far between. I personally enjoy both aspects of the game but when I get bored of pve and log rvr I'm normally solo or duo with my g/f and often get caught up is large duels. I might get lucky and tag a player and get a kill or an rp every hr or so, but normally by the time I've even selected a target hes been steam rolled flat. This makes getting rr skills a long slow process. So.. I was wondering if any of the NPC chars around the outside of the major keeps/bind points give Qs that also give RPs?

There are the generals who give tasks to kill (be involved in killing) X guards or players, or capture a tower or keep etc. They also have assassin tasks, where you head out to a particular location, and a yellow con assassin jumps you and you kill them for RPs.

Main way I get RvR groups is by having a friendly alliance. Getting Rps solo is a lot easier with a caster at low RR's I find, and of course much easier with anyone who can heal, but milage may vary.

since u post on alb section i pressum that ur an alb .
go to snowdonia left corner while u enter it from the pve zone and ull find a general something thats an npc if u talk to him he can give u missions personal & group
in personal u can kill a yellow assasins (not real players) that will spwn when u go near a certain tower keep etc that general will tell u that assasin worth some rps not as much as a player but a good thing to start with ur first ra
another is kill 15 hibs or mids and get a bonus rp from it
third is caravans if u saw a Albion caravan wandering around beno and berk thats the alb caravan u cant kill that but u can kill hib and mid caravans
although that i think its a bit hard cause if u attack it it spwn some orange con guards for lvl 50 tryed to kill it once for fun xd
and if i forgot something u can just check that npc in snowdonia and i think in castle sauvage too

Very interesting, I do remember reading in the journal a quest to help capture a keep.. Dun Crauch i think it was and I also rem thinking I wont be completing that in a looong time. I didnt know you could do pve style kills to get rps in rvr, I will check that out.

I did duo my cleric and BB for a while trying to scrape rps by rezzing dead ppl in major duels, but I found most of them declined res cos they wanted their grp cleric to res them and get the rps themselves. Also tried with sorc and found that almost as soon as I attacked a target I got mown down by the targets assist train. Could well be down to luck I guess but if there is an alternative for us rvr nOObs then its nice to know =)
