rp farmers [part 2]

Just heard from a well known alb/pryd player that moved from albion to midgard..

Some ppl from a well-known guild on alb/pryd, in fact one of the oldest guilds in albion.. have bought high lvl accounts in mid/hib on prydwen just for rp farming their chars in albion.

It is easy to tell who these people are, the same names pop up over and over again killing and being killed by the same people. Naming them here is no use, get some proof and goto GOA. An exploiter personally told me a few days ago to go ahead and report him because GOA had given it the ok if the level 50 was prepared to take the death. Well Kemor's comments recently prove otherwise and that exploiter I mentioned now needs to hope I have a very merry Christmas and delete all the screenshots I took of him admiting to farming realm points with his grey con Hib on his level 50 Albion.

If someone with 2 lv50's is cross-farming, that's pathetic.


But what's so bad about someone getting his grey-con alt RR3 or so, for some RA's?

Technically, it's the same as using a buffbot. You have two accounts, to make one of your characters stronger.

No, it's just wrong and Against the rules.

A few structured rules are there to make the game fun for all ... if a few step outside, others become angered, the game fun reduces.

Buffbots do more to unbalance the game, then these RP farmers.

Realistically, even getting your alt to RR3 would take a while and I doubt anyone would farm their alt to RR5.


One uses his account to assist his alt in PvE.
The other, uses it for RvR.*


Guess which is the buffbot, and which the RP farmer.



*Both statements apply to buffbots, which make them worse.
I don't care myself, but am only pointing out that if you want to stop RP farming because it ruins the game, you should say the same for buffbots.

Actually, RA are used to assist in PvE as well, which makes them equally bad.

The only reason some of you say that you _need_ a buffbot to be able to RvR is that so many others have them. So why follow the flow? I am playing one of the most gimped RvR classes there is in alb, but I will be damned if I ever let myself go as low as to admit my defeat by creating a buff bot.

Yeah right...this is comeplete bollox, no matter how you put it, buffs are part of the game, where someone got them is irrelevant. i'm not gonna continue on this tho, been over it tons of time already.

And no, I don't have a buff-bot, my shaman has a speed-bot.

First of all, I am a body cabalist, not a matter cabalist.

Secondly, no, it is not bollox, buffs _are_ a part of the game, but I am pretty sure the intent was that they should come for another _player_ not an afk'er. I would see it as a defeat, I have chosen to keep my spec, well knowing that I will never own in RvR the same way matter cabas do. I have chosen this and will work with what I have instead of paying money to get what a lot of others don't have.

I have seen this train of thoughts in other games as well ("Since everyone else cheats, I have to do so as well.") I am not saying that bots are cheating, but by creating a bot you are taking an advantage most do not have the equiptment for.
