I just watched a program about him on ESPN classic and everytime I watch stuff about him I just think we have not had a player like him since.

The way he moved the way he scored the way he could get passed an entire defence and score and let's not forget his tricks.

Who can forget the goal at Barcelona where he took the ball from the half way went past 6 or 7 players and scoring with Bobby Robson standing with his hands on his head.

Yeah some will remember him for being fat but he's still scoring goals in Brazil.

The Fenomeno and only ever one Ronaldo.

Ronaldo has always been the best player for me - I've never had the pleasure of seeing Pele though.

He was a fantastic player in his prime. Never quite the same after his knee injury though, which was a real shame.

It is quite fascinating how the raw male testosterone heterosexuality, that is promenant in football fans, mixes with the admiration of someones ball handling :p

Couldn't agree more, simply the best striker I have had the pleasure of watching. The hat trick at Old Traford in the champions league was pure joy to watch.

The guy just had an amazing talent.

Also he very rarely dived in fact i don't really remember him diving probably the cause of those nasty knee injurys.

Must be nice, knowing you are a LEGEND in any football fans eyes.

Yeah both those two goals are memorable love the second one where he barges past the defenders, he wasn't just quick he was fucking powerful too.

Adriano could have been like him shame he fucked his life up.

voted the Best Foreign Player in Spanish Football the last 25 years: 1974–99. Players like Maradona played in spain at that time as well :)

I doubt we'll ever get to see another player like him in denmark - and yeah, I do think Ronaldo was better, however he only played in barcelona one year during that period if i'm not mistaken.

ROnaldo was the complete striker. He had it all, pace, power, technique, balance and accuracy
