Roll back patch

I actually respect Dynamix for releasing a roll back patch because of the problems. VERY brave move and it needed doing.

So do I, its a pity though, I really liked the other features of the new patch, the new scoring system, the improved missile launcher rectile / targeter and the buddy lists.

Oh well, hopefully they will re-release the patch soon, without the red-jack feature. What puzzles me is how the f@#k could such a widespread and devasting bug that meant almost noone could even play a decent game last night get past the QA, escpecially as they spent an extra week QAing it.

Even more shocking that the rollback patch seems to create even more new problems...

I suppose this is what happens when you sack most of your dev team as soon as the game is finished eh?

Most the the lead developers werent sacked, they actually quit mid-development to form http://www.garagegames.com

There were quite a few laid off at the end yeah, but the actual 3d engine guys have all quit to form this new company (which as far as i can see puts any tribes3 at doubt).

biggest thing i miss

is the ability to just hit 4 when u stand on the vehicle pad to get a shrike - much easier....
