It's rather depressing trying to roleplay in Mid tho, as you usually get: hi m8 olol. thx m8 plzzzz!11!; for answer.

Do try tho, it's fun when you meet someone who plays back :)

*pinches Klavrynd's (facial!) cheek really hard*

Has anyone ever told you that you're sweeter than Lurikeen blood?

cyoko: I get the impression that Fedaykin is also tolerant of roleplay as well as Savage Conclave, and I imagine a fair bit goes on in the Amazons of Midgard as well. There's also Nyd, but a lot of people aren't enthusiastic about joining such small guilds, even though I think guildchat was an absolute blast.

Ardrias, just for you I'm going to fish out a screenshot, shall post it a bit later hopefully.

edit: Bah, couldn't find its entirety, I have these three nuggets though:

A roleplay campaign is starting very soon ... check out http://www.noisefolio.com/phpBB2/ section Tales from Midgard.

There is no guild limitations to this campaign ... all is welcomed ... already has members from 3 different guilds.

A lot of roleplayers in Enhärjarna but we havent been roleplaying much.

Then there is NYD as you already heard and Klan Khazád an all dwarf guild.

Think Thalon´s Reach and some members among the Purple Warriors also are into roleplaying ... Which guild is home for the Darktyde family ?

Hope to meet you in game

Regards
Thorulf

Heirs of Nithavellir is to be created soon.
Dwarves only for the time being (Nithavellir seems to be the home of dwarves. Did some research on norse mythology).

It'll be focusing on roleplaying, and wont grow very large (mostly due to the fact that dwarven roleplayers doesn't really come in large numbers) because I don't like overcrowded guilds where noone cares or notices if you leave or not. Unless you're level 50, that is.

Talon's Reach is the Home of the Darktydes I think we are up to 15 Members of the Darktyde Clan (some alts)
Most Roleplay atleast some of the time :)

Nyd are great Rpers but sadly very small guild :(
Purple Warriors has some Rpers in it too.

Alot of guilds have a few People who will Rp back to you :)
Best is to get out there and Rp away and someone will Rp back :)

I guess you can ask for a weeks "trial" in a guild first (that is said to roleplay) and see if it's what you're looking for.

From what i heard, Nyd or Purple Warriors is the guild to join if you wanne roleplay, I have spoken with many roleplayers from mid/pryd, Krill, Esola, Oldbone, Hufner... there are some roleplayers there, nice comunity if you pick the right mates to roleplay with =)

I don't think it's something bad that Nyd isn't big. That way people will make notice of you (those in the guild). On my second account (old one), I first spoke to someone of Purple Warriors a member and a leader. They both suggested Nyd if I was into the heavy roleplaying. I did join Nyd, and I must say I did enjoy playing there.

So I'd suggest you go with the not so over-crowded guilds. Else Enhärjarna, Purple Warriors and the others other people suggested be a good go.

Look out for dwarves in the Heirs of Nithavellir if you're looking for a dwarf clan.

To answer the original question, everyone I met yesterday, whether old or new, I had the pleasure of roleplaying with and being roleplayed back to, there were at least 7 people. I even had the pleasure of bumping into Ulfgar while re-exploring Muspelheim; that dwarf will go far, mark my words.

Nothing Wrong with small guilds Most RP friendly guilds normally are :)

Hardcore Rpers are getting rarer but People that will Rp someof the time or to Specific characters all the time are more numerous :)

Talk to the GM's of a few guilds and see what you feel..

Nyd-- Krill or Esola
Purple Warriors -- Hufner
Talon's Reach -- Aerran
(Talon's Reach and Purple Warriors are Sister guilds both containing Beta/early release PW members)

Sorry not sure of GM's of the other guilds :(

Last night was very strange, everywhere I went there were people roleplaying.

Gallak from Eye of Odin and one of his berserker friends from Enharjna (sorry if I got the spelling wrong), especially. I think I might be mistaking decent conversation with no reference to the real world as roleplaying here, though. Still, it's refreshing to say the least.

edit: of course, there was Ramble as well, but a big troll on a sinking ship is too much of a suicide case for me to handle.

I think that must have been a very rare occation. Nowhere I go people are roleplaying.

Naughty thoughts spring to my mind... but I'm just a dirty Kobold.

I do my best if other people are willing. Although Gallak varies a little from da dumest trollie in middie to a troll of fairly sophisticated elecution, maybe its the temperature of his surroundings, his wits need to be razor keen in the frozen wastes of the Midgard frontier. If people speak in character I do my best to follow their lead, its great fun and it's nice to think what you're saying instead of *ding* and 2 bubbs tnl, but if its an xp group I'll normally ding along with the best of them just to help time pass ;)

The thing I find is that trolls are easier to roleplay, especially if you play dumb, Norsemen just need to stay in-character, kobolds have no real preconcieved racial characteristic although I have noticed a bit of a gollum feel to those that do, dwarves are a tough bunch, trying to roleplay one without sounding excessive and silly, and singing about gold til you collapse from overindulgence of ale ;)
