does anyone have an idea how long it normally takes to send a mo/bo back to the manufacturer and have them repair it and send it back? i thought around 1-2 month or am i being optimistic?

I can't really say I have any idea of how long it would take, but have you tried contacting your motherboard manufacturer and asking them if they have any estimates of their own?

well for MSI, i can only seem to find a site that has numbers for Florida. There is a UK site but it says dont ask fot technical support as the site is only used to find new people to work for them. i sent an Audigy 2 to creative which only took about 3 weeks and i dont think they even did anything as it still didnt work.

Whether or not the people above would be able to help you, I really don't know, but they may be able to forward you to someone who can (I presume you're returning it to the UK base?).

Just out of interest, would it be possible to return the product to the retailer? You may get a speedier response, as they'd probably just replace it for you.

on the receipt i got from the shop it says "if an item is found to be faulty and is returned in 14 days, we will replace the item otherwise we will return it to the manufacturer" dont know how they expect faults to arrise in 14 days hehe this took 7 months to become faulty. i am taking it back tomorrow but i just wanted some idea ;) also those numbers you found (thanks for that) are on the site i found which says only for system integrators and resellers, something like that.

Do you still have the warranty documents with your mobo? They should have the proper contact details.

BTW, that 14 day returns thing is meant for if the board is already faulty when purchased. :)

didnt get any warranty documents, just the signed receipt off the shop
