So i've been arguing with my friend, regarding my 'break' from the game, and he's not convinced.
'you're addicted... won't last the week... 1.62...'
so to change the subject i drag him out to play five-a-side football with the local youth teams.
now i'm not a sportsman, skating yes, football, no. I was the guy who took loafing during P.E. to a new level (marijuana and important school rugby games do NOT mix).
so im hanging out at the back of the group, as they start to call teams, and i realise im missing out on the good spots... so i /y Level 22 Ballmaster LFG... but it's all teams of similary uniformed peeps....
to my surprise, no one picks me, odd coz i keep mentioning / broadcasting I GOT 733T SKILLZ... then i get picked for a pick-up team! however, being crap and a noob, i think what i need to do is leech a bit off one of the better teams.... so i saunter over to one group of lads and suggest (politely, i thought) that they PL me a bit...
they don't seem too unerved, until i suggest sending the biggest player in, for the opposition to focus on, while we stand back and 'heal'...
so i'm back in my pick-up grp, and we're first up. i'm put in defense, which is fine, and told to guard this guy on the opposite team... and i'm thinking 'guard?' maybe they mean 'slam'... so when he gets the ball i charge in yelling 'mezz the adds' and slam him...
well he looks pretty stunned (as do most of the crowd) and i'm thinking maybe that new AOE stun someone was whining for has come in, and i'm feeling pretty happy coz i took out the whole team, and i'm still noobish and all... then a whistle goes and i am being given a yellow card... which i presume i have to give to someone for exp, but no one seems able to explain who the recipient should be...
then its the second half, and im put in defense again (my helpful mid-time comments about rezzing the fallen quickly and /sticking to the bard have gone unappreciated) and then i hear my name yelled and the ball comes whizzing my way
so i'm running towards the goal, and a man the size of a firbolg is in front of me, and everyone is yelling 'shoot' but i can't see my target, but then i remember that im Left Footed, and i got a week before it gets nerfed, so i go crazy, eager to demonstrate my leet skills, and i fire the ball straight at the goal, but the goalie knocks it away, and i'm thinking shit..... when i remember back up styles, and follow up with a nice kick, and as the ball flies in the firby crunches me into the mud and a whistle blows twice, and as i lie there with grass between my teeth i see the other players leaving and i'm yelling 'REZZZZZ' but there's no reply...
