RIP Jack Vance

I can't believe I missed the actual date. Vance's books were a major part of my teenage years and I still read them. Emphyrio is possibly the only Scifi/Fantasy story I ever read that made me cry.

There aren't many authors around who can match the descriptive prose that Jack Vance could pull together, a sad loss.

Wow, great writer. When my father died I found a bunch of his books stored away in a loft space. Read a few of them during the summer that year.

I was late at discovering Jack Vance's books, and ive only recently got through the Lyonesse & The Dying Earth books. Impressive, fucking amazing writing. One of the most beautifully written fantasy Ive ever come across.
