Yeah it was basically dead already. Still a bit of a shame; i'm sure 2d point and click story games could have been popular on mobile devices and such.
I genuinely can't think of a memorable LucasArts game since KoToR, which was what? Ten years ago? And I think even in their pomp their success rate was always pretty low.
Lucasarts had some great IP's with great looking games in development, but it looks like it became a company run by accountants without knowledge of what will sell and changes in managers, resulted in a company that couldn't release anything substantial and now Disney must have looked it and thought it was a waste of resources. Maybe we will see a continuation of the IP's under the Disney brand. Hopefully so, I would love to see another Battlefront, Jedi Knight, X-Wing or Commando game. Though part of me thinks it will never happen.

Can't say i blame disney. LucasArts been trying to get out of the swamps for a decade(with little or no original crew left) so they decide to shut it down and spread the IPs to other developers. Might bring some good stuff out of it.
