The submit button doesnt appear straight away, in order for the submit button to appear you must search for an answer to your/any problem on the rightnow database, once you have gone through a few answers then the submit button will become active and you will be able to submit your own question/problem. Basically this method forces people to look up answers themselfs that are already answered rather than submitting the same things over and over and wasting peoples time :) ... :p as far as I know anyways

The easiest thing to do is choose the top option 'that comes up which is usually 'How to use RightNow' once you are in a topic the button appears.

Been there, done that. Companies that dont care about their customer usually use this trick - make it as hard as possible to complain so that noone does it. But its Goa and its french. :kissit:

no its not to make it as hard as possible to submit problems. its for making it easier for the customer supporter to NOT HAVE TO answer the same fking question 200 million times when its already been answered and posted in the FAQ.. so its to force the lazy ppl (in wich i probably can include u) to acually have to SEARCH abit first....

chocking isnt it? we should sue them really.....

In my world in how to run a buisness customers is always right. Maybe solving the root of the problem is a smarter move? Fixing the problems that 200 million ppl needs to ask for help? But thats just me...

Only time I used right now was reseting a quest so a FAQ couldnt help me. Spenging several minutes looking for a button that didnt exist made me annoyed.

the alternative is people who never search the faq and just use Rightnow to ask questions that are easily found by a single search ...

But all the FAQs deal with stuff we can't 'fix' only advise on. For example error messages due to outdated drivers. No fix we or Mythic apply to the game can fix your PC configuration. Also stuff for which there is a set answer like 'Who are the NPCs I can get the items that were on my CM back from when my house has been repossesed?' or 'Can I change the race of my character?' Questions like that don't need to take up a GMs time as the answer is simple and will always be the same regardless of circumstance. There is no 'fix for the root of those problems' but we can put up an FAQ so that the people who run into those issues can quickly find the answer for themselves.

For bugs and ingame issues like harrassment or cheating reports, then obviously there won't be an FAQ that sorts it out as it'll need to be resolved by us or Mythic on a case by case basis. You still need to click on at least one answer though as otherwise we'd need to have different channels for different kinds of problem and then it becomes even more confusing: - Use this email address for subscription or billing problems. Go to this website if you have a technical problem. Fill in this webform if you want to report a bug. Go to this page to report a breach of the CoC etc. The way it currently stands is there is an email address for subscription and billing enquiries (as in some cases people with these problems will not be able to access RightNow) and RightNow for everyother problem, this offers the broadest possible support with the minimum of confusion and the greatest ease of use.

It wasnt that i couldnt find the answer i find right now to be good for that but i knew the answer i was looking for didnt exist so i went looking for new post but sent off the bug report and i suspect its a bug ive known about from the US anims that gets fixed in a few patches time.

Reply was prompt although spellchecker guys :) but im not complaining if you got to whine about stuff not being done just send it again.

The idea is nice but bad implemented. If several customers have problem using a service it´s wrong with the interface(service) not the customer. But it´s your company do as you want.

u should really think twice before implement a such hard constrain on a button,
happy customers are good customers and its easy to get annoyed when u cant find the right button.

maybe having the "HOW TO USE RIGHTNOW" faq link in bold flashing 30 point - use the marquee tag...

then people might click on it and voila suddenly be able to ask a question ;)

Some people are lazy by nature....

Instead of trying to use some search engine ( I prefer altavista over google due to some scary article about privacy invasion and google linked to some former CIA types running it etc) and maybe type 2 words, some people spend more effort on typing entire sentances trying to explain their question in /gc or /as when they can get faster answers by just TRYING to search themselves... :flame:

Guess that's a long sentance not approved by any UK citizen ;)

Well thats the design flaw imo. A website should be so easy to use as reading how to use it should be necesary. Have you read the manual to your tv remote or even to windows? (rhetorical question)

GOA are not the company who writes the rightnow system, as Steam uses it as well, don't go blaming GOA because you had to wait 3 hours for a reply and you think they are crap.

Just say you think they are crap, explain why, and be truthful instead of hiding behind crap excuses.
