right/left hand weapon problem

Got a problem with cs since I upgraded and thats when I have left handed weapons selected their on the right and when I have right handed selected their on the left, wouldnt be a problem but I installed a few custom weapons that didnt have a left hand veiw yet now I can only get them on the left veiw and the standard ones on the right .

Any one know what would cause the models to be crossed over ?

No I mean I have cl_righthand set to 1 but my weapons actually apear on the left, set it to 0 and thier on the right but with some models missing because they dont have a left handed veiw .

v_blah.mdl files which were installed in the update are right-handed, v_blah_r.mdl files are no longer used as CS flips the models itself.

You need to change your old custom models, delete the v_blah.mdl and chang the v_blah_r.mdl to v_blah.mdl

Simple really.

Left Hand / Right Hand

Since I upgraded CS I can no longer appear left handed..... which is a pain in the ar*e because I am left handed and was used to being left handed in the old version!! I am fairly new to the game and am actually worse (sounds stupid, but true) playing as a right hander. Any idea on what I need to do to fix the problem?

or type cl_righthand 0 in the console while playing.

I have altered my config.cfg file with the required command and.......... still the problem persists. IS nobody else having the same problem.... or are you all right handers?

I haven't tried entering the command at the console during game play..... but this has got to be a problem / bug hasn't it?

Are you sure your config was altered and saved correctly? Try enetering it in the console.

You may have enetered the command incorrectly into your conifg.

Paste exactly what you have on the forums for us to look at.

I had that problem with some custom weapons as i said, but deleting the v_xx.mdl and renaming the v_xx_r.mdl as v_xxxr.mdl sorted it np.
then cl_righthand 1 or 0 works fine.

I'll have to try running the command from the console during a game.... fingers crossed it'll work!!
