dunno if anyone has actually seen the Alien 3 version that was released with the Quadrilogy.. but its a completely different film.

was an awful lot of arguments about how the film should be made. but that version is FAR better than the theatrical release, altho it doesnt solve the problems of the Aliens > Alien 3 transition.

i wonder now tho... if they gonna make a prequel.. will that revamp the series proper and we may finally get the much vaunted Alien: Gates Of Hell (alien 5) everything been in place for years now.

What ilaya said, if you have never seen the 30minute extra special edition of alien 3 you cannot judge it that harshly.

I thought killing off Newt at the start of 3 was the thing that made it bearable to watch. The only down side to Aliens is how annoying she is.

I know what i'll be getting for christmas this year then if those puppies come out :)

I have to say Blu ray has far exceeded my expectations on how much better everything is on it i just love the crystal clear image and the sound.

Machete is a film by Robert Rodriguez. It is an expansion of a fake trailer Rodriguez directed for the 2007 film Grindhouse. It will star Danny Trejo (in his first lead role) as the title character. Although originally announced to be released direct-to-DVD as an extra on the Planet Terror DVD, the film is now being produced as a theatrical release. The film is scheduled to start shooting in July 2009.

Casting:

Danny Trejo as Machete
Michelle Rodriguez
Lindsay Lohan as Luz
Robert De Niro (rumored)
Jonah Hill as Julio (rumored)
Steven Seagal (rumored)
Cheech Marin as Father Benicio Del Toro (confirmed)
Jeff Fahey as The Well-Dressed Man (confirmed)
Tito Larriva as Henchman (confirmed)
Ray Liotta as Scar (rumored)
Rose McGowan as Cherry Darling(rumored)

You know more of them than you realise...
Casting:
Danny Trejo as Machete (aka "That Ugly Guy" in most Rodriguez films)
Michelle Rodriguez (aka "That Tomboy Looking one" from Fast and Furious)
Lindsay Lohan as Luz (aka the Disney chick who went off the rails)
Robert De Niro (rumored) (oh come ON! You've heard of him!)
Jonah Hill as Julio (rumored) (okay, I admit I don't know this one)
Steven Seagal (rumored)(oh come ON! You've heard of him!)
Cheech Marin as Father Benicio Del Toro (confirmed) (ALWAYS in Rodriguez films)
Jeff Fahey as The Well-Dressed Man (confirmed) (aka Lawnmower Man)
Tito Larriva as Henchman (confirmed) (aka the singer in most Rodriguez films)
Ray Liotta as Scar (rumored) (aka "The Man WHo Ate His Brain" in Hannibal)
Rose McGowan as Cherry Darling(rumored) (aka "The Quiet One" in Sunshine)
Rodriguez makes fun films.
"From Dusk Till Dawn", "The Faculty" and "Once Upon A Time In Mexico" are violent/gory but SO funny. :)
He also makes kids films... Spy Kids 1, 2 AND 3.

1 and 2 were great films, 3 was a bit of a let down mainly because they killed off Hicks. I didn't mind 4 except for the stupid girl/android, she really bugged me. as for the AVP films 1 was good and 2 had its moments especially the hospital where it didn't matter if you were a pregnant woman a child or an old person you were going to die and the nod to Weyland-Yutani at the end was good.

Also any one seen the new AVP trailer for the game OMG it looks great.

Aye, Rebellion behind the new AvP game. Looking forward to it. A well played Alien toon was genuinely scary for everyone else in multiplayer mode in the past :D

AVP2 multiplayer was awesome i really loved it although the maps were so fucking tiny at times.

Good times, i hope they manage to pull it off all over again.
