For once though aoln, they may have done some good while making money of others misery. Hatton looks like he'll be forced into rehab and his family look like thye will help him through it.

From the beeb:

Responding to the News of the World article, Max Clifford told BBC Radio 5 live that Hatton "feels he's let everybody that matters down badly".
Clifford said Hatton had been urged by family and friends to go into rehab.
"He does recognise that he's in a bad way mentally and been in a bad place for some considerable time, a year or so," added Clifford.
"He needs to face it full on and show the courage he always did whenever he climbed into the ring.
"We all have to wait and watch and see what happens but what I'm hoping is that he tackles it with courage.
"I hope this will bring him to his senses and make him face up to a problem that has been concerning people for a while.
"I hope he can sort himself out and get himself clear because everyone knows that [with drug use] it's a one-way path."

Aye this may well start a much needed intervention, he is a nice lad and I hope his drug problem doesn't destroy him.

so, he went out and had a rockin' night.

i've done that, oh and a lot more besides in one night !

rehab...erm if that was the case half of the people i have ever knwn would be in so called rehab...and it's quite simply not the case.

sensationalist crap tbh, 6 lines... its no big deal peeps. calm down calm down. A normal night out for hundreds of thousands of people every week in the uk.

Yes but you're just a nobody on an internet forum, Hatton is an idol to thousands, maybe millions of impressionable youngsters.

I dont care what he does in his spare time but when you are in the public eye, you have to be careful you dont get caught.

Thing is with Ricky Hatton, he seems quite vulnerable, almost child like when he's not fighting. Someone who is likely to be taken in by things like drugs.

I saw an interview with him and he still goes round his mums house every night to have a home cooked meal.

6 lines is no big deal? You might have a problem as well then fella. :p

I have used it a few times socially in the past myself, a line at a time was enough for me to get wrecked and I never did more than 3 lines in a night. Money wasn't the issue, I just didn't need anymore. 6 lines in 3 hours is well over the top, sorry but it just is.

Yep he hasn't changed since I met him when he was 15 to be honest, back then he played on the same football team as my younger brother. He was always a nice lad and never any trouble but he hung around with some real knobheads and was very impressionable. When he was about 21 I bumped into him again one night in Hyde at a Weatherspoons pub, he was still hanging around with the same no-lifers from Hattersley and even though his career was just taking off the going out culture was still very important to him. Over the years it has taken it's toll on his body, especially between fights and I honestly believe it has cut his career short by 3-4 years.

Shame, nice lad really, still treats random people who approach him properly unlike most boxers who are a bunch of clowns.

I read the title as Cake problem rofl; can sympathise with that. Cake addiction is no laughing matter.

His cake addiction is worse than his coke addiction to be fair, he has put about 4 stone on since he stopped boxing 18 months ago. :D

No sympathy for anyone retarded enough to start taking coke, whatever the situation. However, being outed is probably the best that could happen to him really, if he wants to get help then good luck to him.

Fucking hate the news of the world though, they couldn't give a shit about him, they just want to sell papers on the back of ruining someone's reputation, the same thing every Sunday.

what a presumptious clip. And marc, i know not this boxing idol but has it not been a while since he was at the top of his game? I would assume that the youngsters, millions of 'em!, wouldnt recognize him for boxing anymore. But i dont know anything about him!
