RHA

I use it and am pretty impressed with summink fer £20 a year, I'm not complaining too much. Sometimes pretty busy in afternoons, but don't normally have too much of a problem in evenings and mornings.

Pings seem around the 80s on ISDN for me.

Hehe, unfortunately :D
I have other free dialups to use luckily tho :)

Can anyone here who uses RHA beat my record of logon attempts? On one occasion I had to try 156 times b4 I got logged on

ezesurf is good

connects first time, good for downloading, webpages etc ALL the time

only prob with it is in evening like after 8 pm, all the 8 yr olds come on and push the pings up to 250

no PL though andonly thing that changes is latency

so tis good

Me uses screaming.net on a K56 connex and tis always decent for gaming. 130-155ms pings and little packet loss, you'd only get some @ peak online user times. Nifty says me :D

I heard a lotta shit bout RHA and their like to giving out customer info thru their insecure webbeh :)

One of my clanmates uses RHA, and FWIH it is not good for gaming. I doubt that any flatrate (apart from the broadband ones) ISPs will ever be good for gaming.

10-1 to ya was the score, and my excuse is that fact that i aint played q2 for 3 months, and playing CS has made me dead to lag now, kept forgetting to aim 5 miles in front etc etc.

The only thing i can say to the previous posts about RHA is WTF? How exactly is it pants. Once i am on (always connect within a minute) I get 3hrs worth of decent pings for playing games. What exactly is the problem with that. And i use it every day so i would know if it was shit.

Modem wise forget it obviously but then again might as well spend extra cash on ISDN opposed to shelling out for RHA.

Counter Strike pings in RHA are about 100 but then again on the BW servers that is only slightly above average on the 18 player ones for LPBs.

tut tut... your excuses suck more than an amsterdam wh0re with a hoover rammed up her arse and ending @ her gob.

Yeah your pings did go below mine now and again but they also went to 250 quite a lot :) Mine were just 160 consistent on that server... I reckon most ISP's are getting better now tho. Also, when I was on BT I had none of the probs everyone else was having. I found that kinda weird too :D

YUp, I wouldnt advise for modemers, but if u were ever thinking about moving over to ISDN and not much cash to play with RHA is a good option.

80-90 Ping on RHA on an 0800 number 24*7 and paying ISDN rental is better than paying for a modem and call charges or the even greater ping of a free ISP with modem and engaged tones.

hmm, hadn't thought of that 1..
was looking for 0800 acccess and keeping modem connect, but as u guys say.. isdn charge + yrly 0800 charge will probablt work out cheaper..

Well 0800+modem will obv work out cheaper than any ISDN option if you never need a pay dialup for games etc. But most 0800 options are a bit of a pain for modemers unless maybe u use screaming.net or something. I'd say if your internet phone bills are over £25 a month or so then its prob worth going for 0800+ISDN option.

The only problem you might face, is once you get ISDN and try the real good ISPs and get used to the lower ping, its often tricky to want to play on 0800 dialups, but if u are used to a modem, and have no cash, then u should be happy.

A bit more pricey but apparently plays well thru the day is Freeserve for £10 a month, ive heard pings maybe go up to 100 in evenings, but I'd still rather play on ISDN pinging 100 than a top modem pinging at 100.

Yep I have tried Btinternet,Freeserve and got RHA on isdn and freeserve is by far the best as far as pingwise goes still sometimes takes some connecting to at cetain times unlike bt which u can connect to nearlly straight away but your pings will probably be worse than on modem.RHA pings seem better than Bt but slightly worse at busy times than on freeserve but they take a lot more connecting to usually. Also freeserve seem to have less packet loss than either the other 2 do as well as being more relaiable than RHA

Anyone remember RHA losing there own connextion to the internet hehehe ;)
