Anyone got any efficient ones?

GCSEs/A-levels end of this year and my revision is generally very poor.

Anyone have a wtfsecret technique? :)

When you do a lesson. The next time you have that lesson take 3 minutes to read what you did last lesson.

At home do this:

Do certain area you need to revise for one night. Then do it the next night again. Then do it a week later. Then do it a month later

It will stick in your head for ever.

Worked for me fine

First Uninstall DAOC, (im serious) and any other time consuming games. Next plan out 1 hr a day i always plan it for 7-8 (after Simpsons/futurama etc) eat before hand. I tend to eat fruit during it.
As each week progress's increase ur time according to how much extra u learnt that day.
Take Saturdays off relax go out with ur other half etc.
On Sunday do 4 hrs Revision Solid
Repeat for the whole term and you wont need to cram at the end of the year as most of it is still fresh.

Go to the pub, getting absolutely smashed, smoking 20 cigs, eat a pizza on the way home.. Throw up in the toilet, drink some water, try to sleep, wake up at 8am then revise till 8pm, works ever time!

Have a good timetable, giving yourself rest, and breaks, but time enough to cover all your subjects.

For GCSE's and Alevels, just reading through the txtbooks in study leave worked for me.
my first year at uni I tried that and nearly crashed and burned.
now I'd say, go through making notes from books, notes, anything else, and specifically for law, make flash cards for cases.

Be sure to start revising with more than enough time. its better to revise too soon and know it all two weeks before exams start, than start too late and not finish everything you're being examined in.

Follow every single lecture//lesson and take notes. Write them yourself, usually the info noted down will stick way better then just reading it

Different things work for different people.

I find the best way of remembering things is to read the literature (course textbook, whatever) then write it down by summarising it into a couple of paragraphs.

Havig said that, I did crap at A-levels and Uni, so doesn't always work, but then not bothering to do any revision at all may have had something to do with that :p

Don't know where yopu live so if it's readily avaliable for you or not, but around times of serious importance such as exams and the week leading up to them, try to eat FRESH fish as often as possible. It helps you concentrate a lot.

Do nothing until the night before the exam, then try and cram it all in. Worked for me!

(disclaimer: Except for A Levels which I failed miserably)

GCSE & A-level revision for me was piss about till the night before then skim read the entire text book in a few hours. Didnt fail me at all... wouldnt suggest doing that though once you get to degree level though, makes it tough :D

i guess techniques vary for everyone. my long term memory isnt the best so i usually do cramming. i can absorb a lot of info to use over a short period so it works fine for me.
