Returning to daoc

Just a friendly warning, i could use some advice on a good class to play for somebody coming back to the game and starting from lvl 1 in albion. Also if anybody runs a role-playing guild on albion / excal i wouldn't mind joining bear in mind i might be a bit rusty.

A fighter class im having lots of fun with a friar, but i did not play him from 1 though... i played a warrior from 1-50 in midgard and that was a fun class to play up, and easy too

friar seems like good fun aye, and can solo which is a req. these days :|

Spirit cabby imo. Best solo'er in alb and a beast in RvR. If your looking to solo youll do well with a spirit cabby, or duo with sorc/necro/theurg and ull own reds easy.
Im a 50 cabby and can easily solo diamond mobs and often take oranges (sometimes 2 at a time) in ToA.

really depend on what u like.
if u like caster, spirit caba, body sorc or theur are good choice.
Spirit caba is the easiest to solo with but lack grp utility for pve, where sorc and theur is a most in good pve grps.
if u like fighter, paladin, friar or reaver are all fun and all do very well in PvE (with paladin as the best), but friars are not very welcome in RvR grps, where specially paladin is needed for bodyguard and end.

Minstrel also a very very fun class to play with alot of solo and grp utility
