A distilled quiet chilled the gates of the albion mile wall, it unsettled the dwarf keeping guard. He had been out in this horrible green land far too long for his own liking, why someone else couldnt take over he didnt know.
He sipped a little ale looked about, then returned his focus to the gates. Those sickly wooden gates, they were so dull and boring, just looking at them filled the dwarf with revulsion for this land.
There was a faint hiss, a snap and then pain, he looked down at what he thought must have been a bite, instead a good 9 inches of arrow could be seen protruding from his ankle. Then he heard the second dreaded hiss and snap and collapsed to the ground with an arrow in his chest, dead.
Quietly the kobold moved, rushing to face the ranger that had felled the dwarf. Picking up his target he moved in fast and struck, at first the ranger was stunned and remained frozen tothe spot, then slowly started moving. The assasin pursued at a faster pace though slicing at the now unprotected back of his target.
To late the kobold realised his mistake, the pain was brief but enough to tell him he was in big trouble. Something had hit his back, an elf dressed in gold stood behind him, its weapons blurring as he thrust and slashed at the kobold.
The creature slowly fell, as Kaylin let out a mighty bellow. His eyes glowed with an unnatural light, his strength had returned to full, the battle was rejoined in full and this time there would be no mercy.
