Retiring from crafting

After many months chained to the forge producing,on average at least 2 arcanium mp`s every day, plus untold other weapons,I have decided to call it a day, without whinging to much, it has everything to do with every aspect of the crafting side of this game, pissing and wind spring to mind, but hey, we got hats .

I think the makers of this game are losing touch with what is really needed, and many peeps would say, if it`s getting to you don`t do it, so advice taken before I get it.

Thx, I will probably level my ikkle wizzie, there`s nothing like bucketloads of xp deaths to relieve the stress that crafting builds up.

What more can I say,they even appear to have nerfed the only good thing an armsman had, pole damage, but tbh I really don`t think i`ll be paying more, for less, when the subs go up.

When SI was released, it was amongst other things, a crafting add on, giving us great places to salvage farm, things I have noticed,and tbh if I knew would happen, I would not have purchased SI.

Families:- drops reduced,slower spawnrates,and fitting in with the rest of SI drops,salvage rates greatly reduced. The orc coastguards and ogre threshers,for those of us who have frequently killed these will have noticed a reduction in the drops here to.

Mp retries,have vastly grown, I spent all night last night making a mp shield well over 100 retries and costing a plat, how many customers will want to pay this much for a shield?,whilst on the other hand,how many crafters will want to make them for the feeble profit they bring?, I don`t think we have to look further than Bigades 22 plat MP plate leggings cost to verify.

So in the nutshell, it`s got harder to make funds for crafted items, it`s got harder to craft items, and the icing on the cake has to be, once made they now degrade faster, plus I do believe that the chances of BOOM have increased this patch.

I feel perfectly justified in having a good whinge, as the sole reason I bought SI was all the benefits it brought with it, for those of us who enjoy the whole crafting scenario, only to see it nerfed into oblivion.

nope no change, still can do 5 point overcharge risk

only craft which is profitable atm is spellcrafting i think.
materials are cheap, you are never asked for maserpieces

just a big time sink and not possible to get metalworking to 750

I logged on briefly just now,killed 5 orc sargeants and 4 ogre leaders, got 3 drops, all crap, nothing salvageable, these will not respawn for hours now, pre patch that would have netted me about 50-100 bars of arcanium,as at least 2 of the drops would have been a bp and a weapon of some sort.

heh thats a laugh

1hour per 5 point OC charge, and you need 99% gems.

people have spent 7-20plat on their armour, in my experience, they DONT WANT to pay a lot for SC.

i know Krissy's 10% markup on 99% gems inside guild was frowned upon as expensive by some, and made like 20-50g in an hour... thats not profitbale

sure you maybe able to make something on it selling out of guild at like 100g/200g per item plus material costs, but thats way over traditional %age based markup

touche max, b4 patch i was making mp's in tailoring every other try, which means the very first thing i made in tailoring should be mp every time, its not now, even get fails on them, its rediculous.

Tallwiz 46 fire wizzy, 1000 tailor (got bored)
Talldisciple 50 neccy deathsight / death servant

not retiring, just slowing the rate i craft 8-(

Well pint just about gave up crafting some time ago,all you are ever asked for is MP`s but lots of people want a fixed price for these,which as you know is impossible.
The other week i made a 99% heavy duskwood staff.........nearly 40 retries later i got it,the cost of making that was just crazy.

Tbh, I don`t think our realm has felt the backlash yet that these nerfs will bring, I will be reading with great interest, forthcoming inevitable threads concerning pissed off bankrupt peeps, who have just paid over 4plat for nothing more than a 99% quality weapon.

Aye bud, just when we had a fixed price system (x15 base mats cost), which if peeps wanted to do, kept both crafter and customer happy alike, it changed, if I had kept to this system on the last 4 mp`s I made, I would have lost over 6 plat.
