Retail Servers

Are the servers down?

I can't see them in the server list within BF1942 and if I add them manually it says that it can't connect.

I have only manged to play one game so far on BW since Friday as the servers are rarely visible whenever I try.

My BW icon in the tray is yellow so I am loged on.

Please help dis n00b

I have same problem, BarryLogin doesn't work for me either.

The only way I have found round the problem is to log into barrysworld via the website.

Well I think the BarryLogon works.... I just can't see / connect to any BF1942 servers..... It worked on Monday though which is why I thought prehaps the servers were down....

Have you tried checking Options | Get IP in BarryLogon to update the stored IP address? This would explain why logging into the website works as it checks your IP at logon, whereas BarryLogon referres the last one used.

Dunno how you connect, but chances you are you have different IP address each time.

If this is the case, check Options | Get IP at startup to prevent this happening again.

I have to reconnect every 2 hours cos of lameass isp rules, and I can't just logoff-logon with the barry logon thingamiebob.

I have to exit it completely, and then relaunch it, then it works fine, no hardship really.

I have that checked to get my IP when I start up (modem).

Doesn't bother me to load website everytime mind

OK I think the problem is sorted now.... I just reinstalled from scratch and its fine now.

It only broke after I uninstalled the single and mult-player demos so prehaps that had something to do with it. Strangely when I used the retail uninstaller in windows it didn't actually remove any files from the HD so I think something was very sick somewhere

Thanks for all the suggestions. I was deffo logged on b4 though because I could connect to HL servers with no probs...
