Retail key works with downloaded beta?

Will I be able to play the 11th with the beta version on a retail key?
My m8 ordered 3 copies from a gf of him in the uk cuz we wanted to play the beta.
We downloaded wow and she mailed us the keys.
I dont know when she'll be able to send us the game so the keys only will do?

Should work fine. The current beta versions are already localized with languages so if there is anything new (somehow I doubt it, maybe some bug fixes) it will be easily patched.

thats right, you can use the beta client for retail version with a retail key.

And you have actually been playing the retail here in EU on this beta.
As they where testing serverloads and localization and stuff like that.

So yes you can just activate an account with the CDkey.
I sure won't be re-installing the game with the CDs just so I have to patch it to 1.2.2.
