Yep the sad respawn slaughterers are a bane in CTF4.

It's SOO obvious that you have just spawned there too that it's a really twattish trick.

As Mr B says the Big Green Snotball machine is the revenge tool of choice for the respawn campers

So, is respawn killing something that everyone does or am i a bit of a freak for really disliking it and not doing it ?

I'm talking specifically about Q2CTF, for example the respawn point on CTF4/4a next to the RG. I'm less fussed about it happening in a clan match, but on a public server...

Respawn killing (esp on that particular spawn point on CTF4) is a right royal pain in the arse..

If anyone's camping on the beach, killing people going for the RG, I tend to spend the rest of the map making their lives a living hell with the BFG (CTF4), or pill spam the basts (CTF4a).

Regardless - Respawn killing on Publics is lame.

Needless to say I never respawn kill unless they are stupid enough to attack me and even then I give them a chance to get away by turning around and running <G>

Soddin hell Im gonna have to publish a 'morals guide' or something like that so I dont have to type stuff out repeatedly

Thats my favourite spot of any of the ctf maps. Like Hol I don't kill them unless they attack me or go for the RG - I gotta get some slugs somehow without moving from my spot

I don't kill them on the spawn pad - but it is simple resource deprivation, deny the opposition access to the RG and your base The best way to defend is not to let them into your base - on ctf4 blue the easiest way is to put your best railler(s) up on the beach while the base D has bfg's if any gets past him.

(PS - soz if there're any odd characters, using the BeOS beta of Opera. Think I got rid of them all
