was thinking of placing some extractors for the resources i need for my stims/packs but was just wondering when these resource shifts occur and how often

Is there a website that tells you when they happen?

different materials change different times

just place then, u can hold them in 1 place max 14 days anyway

SWGCraft tries to keep an up-to-date database, but other than that, no. The devs are pondering making each resource's "time left before it poofs" appear somewhere on the survey device or on the harvester, so that miners have a bit more information to work with. It helps a lot to be in a PA so that when a member notices that something just shifted ("wind just changed on Tatooine, some new metals just popped on Corellia") he can warn everyone who might be concerned.
