Resisting style stuns

Been having an issue where as I just the level 18 shield style on a mob, after block (thats its reactionry) and I get nothing....no stun, but the style lands alright. I know that style stuns are not effected by resists, but is it possible to ressit them?

Seems the only explanation of whats been happening to me.

You can't resist them if the style lands, but every time you stun a mob the duration is halved. Maybe that's what you're doing? Either that or the duration is so short to begin with that you don't notice it?

Some mobs are just not affected by certain styles. Take the friar's hinder/stun styles, they never affect marsh cruds.

From experience i can say that mobs do resist my shield stuns (and the style definitely goes off).
Other times it jsut appears to in that you can take a side position after u stun it and it will turn to face you. Once u hit it the thing catches up with itself and suddenly switches to facing where u were when u stunned it.

ps. also if a healer has stunned it 1st up then your stuns you may do subsequently are cra4pola
