Well after several months of deliberation I have decided that I don't like working for other people anymore. So I've decided to quit.
We have done a couple of experiments on EBay trading were we traded "hardcore" for a week. The results were pretty good and with increased product ranges and more automated ads I can earn a living there. We have also got our own webby close to finished, and I've got a small warehouse sorted for stock. If all else fails I've got several requests from friends to landscape their gardens, apparently they like ours. In all honesty I will be less well off, especially in the initial stages. I'm at a stage in my life though were quality of life is more important then a few quid.
So two things..
Anyone want to buy a 2003 SLK320? (high mileage)
I need some help with my resignation letter, I want it to be nice as I'm not wanting to burn any bridges here :) I remember a while ago back on BW there were some links, anyone still got them?

Ta.

Yuck , I take it you have considered asking for a career break? Even if you have no intention of returning to work , it could be a safe buffer, if after a year or two you change your mind.

Good advice, but one of the things that is helping with the decision is the massive mileage I'm doing. The office is only 50 miles away that said, but the journey is an hour and a half each way due to traffic.

Good luck with your plan, however I've been reading some interesting articles about Tax and online trading such as eBay. I read a good article recently in the FT........a copy of the article can be found here.

Yuck, price of car?

£20K ish, although I'll probably end up taking less due to the 67K miles.
I'll probably part-ex, I'm getting a 4x4 car or truck.

Thanks Laz for the link.

Well I've served my notice and today is my last day. Off to the pub at lunchtime and I'll be leaving early as there are no bosses in today. I've swapped my car and I pick up my brand new 4X4 Pickup tonight (pics soon).
Tomorrow is the start of the rest of my life. I'm shitting it a little, but so relieved to get off this merry-go-round.
