I love this game. I've always enjoyed gun games in the arcade, but never felt they translated well onto the home console.

Until now :)

I've even started dreaming zombie apocolypse. The other night, we were holed up during a zombie attack, and Kenny went off to be a ninja strawberry picker (strawberry picking during a zombie apocolypse is a dangerous occupation) and I had to stay at home like the proper little wifey that I am, and shoot zombies in the face.

Is anyone else playing it? If any of you even spent more than two quid at the arcade on House of the Dead, then I think you will love this. It's not got any of the puzzle solving aspects of the traditional resident evil games, and its on rails (with some deviations from the set route if you hit a secret) so it may not suit all sorts, but by god there is something fantastic about shooting a zombie in the temple and watching his face explode. It's like bubble wrap for the criminally insane.

Best thing? When Kenny gets stuck, he asks me to help. For the first time in my whole life, I'm better at a computer game than him.

Worst thing? The wii claw your hand forms.

I think its the best game in it's genre, on any console.

I guess it's just down to if you like the genre.

There's about 2 or 3 guys I work with who've got it and love it.

I can see there being a problem with longevity. Play it until you've got all the unlockables and then after that it's all the same game over and over but then most stuff is.

I must have played through RE4 over 20 times so far but still love loading it up and splattering zombies with my infinite rocket launcher.

I'm wondering if RE:UC will have the same draw for me once I've unlocked infinite ammo. Maybe, maybe not.

If you're into shooters, then it's a pretty good example of a good game. Otherwise you may get bored quite quickly.

Horses for courses. ;)

I can't say personally but from what I've heard, no. Even for links xbow training, nearly everyone prefers the wiimote on its own. The zapper button is really really bad apparently (it's just a mechanism to push the actual trigger on the wiimote I think, but it isn't at all solid).
