Highpass Cemetary

Highpass Cemetary is a 12-on-12 Scenario in Tier 3 Chaos vs. Empire. Anyone between the levels 18-40 can hop in this Scenario and fight amongst the headstones. There are two capture locations in this Scenario: the Crypt and the Stag. Both are graves of highly revered warriors from days of old.

This sounds really bad, why would the level system be 18-40? What chance does a level 18 have against someone 22 levels higher?????

When I think of other games, you can never hurt someone 10 levels higher than you, half the time you cant even hit them! But 22 levels seems crazy!

Will all Tier 3 scenario's be like this?

Scenarios are designed to offer a reasonably balanced PvP experience so the sides and the levels in any particular match will be approximately equal. All scenarios have a fairly wide level range, Tier 3 scenarios more so than most however there are brackets for each scenario so that people of different level ranges will go into different queues.

Thanks for replying, but are you saying this?

If 10 people who are all lvl 18-20 all join the BG queue at the same time, they will more than likely find themselves in the same BG. (This would be good for the lowbie player).

or

Those 10 people will be equally distributed, so 2 lowbies would be on each side in BG1, and 2 lowbies would be on each side in BG2 etc etc? (this would be good for the game as it evens everything out, but bad for the lowbie)

Read it through a few times Bahu, slowly. Especially this part "there are brackets for each scenario so that people of different level ranges will go into different queues."

He is saying this: A level 40 can queue for the same scenario as a lvl 20 BUT they wont be in the same queue.
They split the queue for the level ranges. Maybe 20-25 26-30 and so on.

Warsong Gulch (WoW) is a lvl 10-70 Battleground - how can someone hurt someone that's 60 levels higher!? *gasp* ;)

(just messing with ya, don't get upset :p)

i wonder if we are going to see guilds who tend to specialise in world RvR, and others who seem to prove really good at Scenarios.

I imagine that Scenarios will be more popular on the open servers, and maybe less so on core servers.

Might write that in my "book of predictions" and when i die, they can call me nostradamus 2nd

Why should scenarios be more popular on Open RvR servers? You pick that server for a bigger OPEN rvr area.

Anyway i believe both will be popular on both server types. Probably will see a few Scenario guilds form up to do set group scenarios. Maybe some from WoW for example.

yes, but it's not as if that RvR was used by many non-lvl 48+ players :)

I remember running from CC's from dun crimthainn at level 15... and marvelling at the level 35+ people - how did they get so high level so fast?

He's referring to a time when no one was 50 most likely :)

well, BGs were only very crowded on US servers and the year or so after they came out on EU servers. After that on EU servers it was just thidranki (lvl20-24) BG that had some action now and then really, and maybe the 45-49 one too.

Anyways, doesn't matter, war will always be full of war, else the name should be changed, and that's too much trouble with all those copyrights and stuff...
