No idea, but you got my vote.
Actually 9mm handguns can be used for target shooting, specifically skittle shooting, but this is very rare as the bullets are not very powerful when compared to .45 or the Magnum cartridges. They actually banned a .44 Automag pistol one year from a skittle shoot as the skittles where being blown to peices rather than knocked over.
Cam is quite correct for the most part though, 9mm Parabellum rounds were designed for the military, which is why 99% of 9mm pistols are high magazine capacity weapons to partner 9mm SMG's.
.357 is also available as a Magnum round though and so used for target shooting as well.
