renderer creation failed?

Game has been playing without problems but on logging in this morning get the message 'renderer creation failed'. can anyone advise me what has happened please and how to fix it? Thank you.

Rendering Creation Failed means that the game can't initialize it's graphic content. Either your DirectX has become corrupt in memory or on your harddisc. It also happens a lot when you run two instances of DAOC at the same time, and one of them times out, and you try to restart it.

Usually rebooting fixes it, but in extreme cases you have to re-install DirectX9.

Thank you for your reply however, weird as it seems, my display drivers had been completely cleaned from my machine. I done a restore from two days ago and now all is well. Must have a look to see what happened. Thanks again for responding.
