Renderer Creation Failed!

About the 10000th SI post now ;/.

Getting this error when trying to load SI, but not with DAOC.

Tried changing desktop res/colours, ingame res(daoc), det drivers, DX9 re-installed but none have helped.

Spec:
Asus A7V8X, XP2400+, 256 PC2700 DDR Ram, Gainward Geforce 3, Dets:42.30.

Running windows 98 (original edition).

Have just formatted and installed Windows 2000 Profressional and had no luck :/.

I have read elsewhere that rolling back to 30.71 drivers may help.
Please check further though incase I have not remembered correctly.

Installed some dets (old-ish 40.xx) and it works, still crap that I had to format to get it to work ;/.

If you have an Nvidia graphics card you can try different drivers from www.guru3d.com.
