we the mids have sofar defended with just 81ppl renarirs against 2 attacks of 97 ppl, we must be a bunch of cheating mids.
decided to start this thread before the albs did.

To be honest....81 people inside a keep with guards vs 97 dosnt sound _that_ hard. Oh well...I wasnt there.

I agree... Imo successfully defending a well upgraded keep from twice the amount of enemies is not a very rare thing. On the other hand, 97 people being able to retake a keep with 81 defenders in it - that would be something to brag about.

A defended keep can be defended well from a fg if they have the keep defence classes within them+healers.Just like when albs tried to take beno a few days ago when i was there we had 3fgs and i beleive only a fg mids were defending.(keep lord killed quite a few of us through the wall)

Alb lacks keep raid/defence classes,then again mids do not seem to have many cave shamans,but a fair amount of sms lately.Sadly albs lack ice wizzies still and cabalists are a rare sight too is why we do bad in most situations to retake a keep from mids/hibs.

cant really understand why there isnt more cabalists.. they are one of the more fun classes ive tried.. especially the matter specc.. having focus shield and dots in same line is quite handy...

and the main problem with the ice wizzy is that both hibs and mids primary pbaoe'ers (well mid only have one but was thinking of hibs mana eldritch) is that they have a pet to that can hold aggro (atleast a while) so soloing isnt that a big deal.. and the mana chanter having focus shield in same line as pbaoe helps that class/specc even more.. a ice wizzie is more or less forced to have a group if hes gonna get good exp.. but i did try a spirit specc cabalist on excal once.. had some great laughs seing my pet solo high orangecons with its lifetap just to bad that the only thing worth speccing spirit is the magic debuffs... well.. meybe the snares to at some extent. but nothing in that line is really worth speccing if u wanna be a good rvr char.... its not even a viable farming specc...

but to be honest, looking at the pure classes i find albion a tad more intresting then mid really.. sure albion dont have many 1 function shars, but they are more demanding to play.. mid have pretty much one char per task.. (well apart from healers and shammys) but the rest are pretty one specc imo, so main reason i dont play albion is coz i cant seem to find a: a group, b: a dedicated guild that helps the lowbies. and im not talking PL or cashas much as advice, help with items, guild events that includes the lowbies etc, tried alb here on pryd with a mates account and pretty much soloed every lvl until i got so bored i deleted them asked a few guilds if they were reqruiting and pretty much got stomped at.. not that theese things never happend on mid to, it does, but just the thought of plate armour almost makes me wanna give it another go...
and the sorc is just my dreak come true.. i just love to have pets and then its the necro, hmmm.. well.. its uber to farm and lvl fast with.. but as stated so many times before its not the prime char ur looking for in rvr. pet got low hits and the "quickcast" function is so bugged it only works 1 time out of 20

well.. this has nothing to do with renaris or how "uber" mids were so il just stop now...

hmm mids one step classes
rm and all 3 lines are different, dam i like that class.
alb have some cabbies, atleast last saturday some was dotting alott, dam i hate those.
mids in keepdefense are dependant copple classes, cave shammy is nice offcourse but rm is must, sm for pbaeo and hunters for sniping.
keep siutations range is what needed, zerk, warrior, savage has nothing to offer, offcourse look after casters, climbspots and killing those annoying pets what come thrue walls.

if they left their pet in safe position and wandered into the keep through the door then yes I believe it was. I think goa posted about this a while back. If any doubt, log it, screenshot it and send to rightnow.

I had my necro at Renaris last night.

If the necro is inside the keep before the doors are down (i.e. used an enemy gatekeeper) then GOA class it as bug abuse.

If the doors are down but the necro puts pet on 'Stay' in a safe place then wanders around inside the keep in shade form (as I was doing, in order to set groundtargets) then that's just using the features and abilities of the class and isn't bug abuse, because it isn't a bug.

Aye, the using enemy gate keeper is a bug, but not walking thru open doors
