you'll get 1.70 where albs are silly op tho and will have all the relics

tbh i dont think they will at least not on pryd as they dont out number mids by very much at all and 1.70 is all about who brings the largest zerg to the party .. so i think mid and alb will be fairly even with hib suffering some

And when the Zergs are of even size it all comes down to range, advantage Albs still :eek:

Hib is already suffering, NF will either Lift Hib/Pryd or kill it completely :(

did you read the first post?

hibs have more than double the relics that albs do....

'Dominant realm'? Duh, does that mean 'the realm with most players' or 'the realm which is strongest because we screwed up the class balance' ?

IMO a typical Mythic solution - stupidly overcomplicated, think I read 5 words before I switched off.

Maybe we need a new university degree, 'BD', or 'Bachelor of DAOC', for those people who actually understand this gibberish and nonsense.

ps. how long has NF been live in US since they realised this?

its pretty obvious most foreign relics will be placed in Fens/scat and renaris seeing as these are easiest to defend.. unless someones brave enough to put in Hurb or Eras? heh id like to see that.

the problem isnt with hibernia dominating its the fact that albion has the numbers but chooses not to use them.

if you think out of your entire population how many people activly rvr you will find its probbly the same as hib and mid. The difference with frontiers is now that you can get to keeps to defend everyone is out their having fun and zergin (omg what if we zerged) and thats when hib/mid (dunno numbers) get rolled by just sheer numbers.

1.71 addresses that by making higher pop servers harder to hold onto relics which is fair because they can stick the numbers through to retake. The problem is with all the alb whines on VN is that they dont because they all off pveing or role playing or crafting its left up to the specialist guilds to hold onto the relics.

Hib dont have that luxury if we want to hold relics we have to defend all the time. We chose not to this time because we couldnt be arsed any more.

hibs will be fine.. its the mids who're gonna suffer.. hibs have always come out in numbers when it mattered.. yes its gonna be tough cos alb's if they play by the rules will own most keeps easily just due to sheer numbers of active RvR'ers.. and when there's people like me who are ONLY interested in taking keeps and defending them it'll be harder i guess... the zergers will have to adapt pretty fast as will the so called "l337" guilds, it aint gonna be just about sheer zergage come NF.. its gonna be about who can get the most skilled keep defenders in a keep the quickest.. i kinda feel sorry for these guilds that only run 1fg and wont walk with the zerg cos theyre gonna be sitting face down a LOT. :clap: which is always good... i forsee AOE dot and archers being a big influence.. wonder what all those mercs are gonna do now? and the sav's? wanna hit a door?

Numbers mean sod all in a game thats so heavily centered on Crowd Control, if numbers mattered so much hibs would not have over twice the relics.

As someone stated above, its about keep taking ability, and no one can match hibs when it comes to sieges, Mushrooms alone are enough to make them rediculously over powered in keep takes or defense, add to that all the CC,pbaoe and general class utility advantages and its no real suprise.

Dosent that also mean that hibs have lost the relics 40 odd times so hade to recapture them ? :eek7: or is this on all of the us servers?

imo give hibs level 40command their for ppl will join them and get 10 levels to go = more 50's to populate their realm again, ! get it done b4 NF comes out so they all get ToA sc'd


i'm not a hib but a alb on pryd, but i'll leave to help hibbies ;0

Time and again hibs and mids quote alb 'overpopulation' as a reason for nerfs, or just as general whines. Yet in emain most of the time I see FGh's wiping 2-3fga's. Maybe its because alot of the FGa's are just crap, but there are plenty of good alb players out there with the decent items to back em up and yet its very rare to see 1fga take 3fgh.

Hibs will always hold an advantage with keep defence due to shrooms. The fact that hibs get a higher class utility just makes it worse. Albion seems to be hardmode more than ever recently, hope it changes in New Frontiers.

this is the totals held across 16 servers, so hibs have on average one relic not of their own, mids are slightly under but close to having their own relics, albs are down one relic on average.

hib and alot of cc in same setence is wrong, hib are actully that realm with lowest amount of cc :)
pbaoe trough walls dosnt work in NF anymore :)
shrooms *cough* fire wizard *cough*, 1 fire wizard can disable all the shrooms with 1 nuke (shrooms is lvl 29 in NF).
general class utility? *cough* sorc *cough*

PE on alb/pryd often take more then 3fgh easy, so no its not coz alb is a hardmode

On the other hand mids on excal seem a lot tougher than albs in general, maybe it's just mids only run their opted groups, while albs will run with whatever turns up.

you have to laugh though really.. the rules get changed coz of silly americans not knowing how to play like peeps on euro servers.. those stats about relics are prolly a bit misleading. changing the rules like that aint really gonna have same effect on pryd or excal i think.. its just gonna make it worse, not evenly balanced.

Us servers are in awe of euro servers, yet we have to bow to their mistakes?

hmmm.. lets see eh.. yet another badly thought out idea i think there..

That situation reflects 1.71, we get 1.70 where Albs held 70 relics of 96 avail in US.

Did you not understand that that is in 1.71, in 1.70(the patch EU is getting now) there is a completly different ballgame where albs get all the relics

That exactly is why this topic is so useless. We're using pre-1.70 experience to discuss 1.71 'issues'. Those numbers in post #1 could mean that the relic issue has been ironed out, but, I don't think that anyone takes those seriously until someone posts the stats of 1.70.

As someone pointed out earlier, these are the totals of 16 servers. Do the math. What we heard about 1.70 could be true, but, it may as well be a rumour or a half-truth. When 1.70 got released it was new. So it was like throwing three unexperiences Unreal Tournament players in a totally new map. One person will win, but would lose to someone more familiar to that map. The same goes for NF. When we'll play, some things are already known, some things are even already ironed out (certain hotfixes), even though it's still 1.70. In our version of the game, with our playerbase, it may as well be hib or mid dominating if Alb doesn't figure out the new frontiers fast enough.

I'm not saying that 1.70 is all perfect and that we shouldn't be worrying, but, beware of the doomsayers. It may not be that bad afterall.
