This isn't a hollow gratz or self-realm pat on the back, but gratz to the Albs that invaded Midgard at the weekend, especially to the people that organised and ran them.

Again.

And Again.

It was bloody good fun, had some awesome pitched battles with you guys - lost some, won some.

The battle at the Y road down from Bled was incredible considering there was no keep right beside it: just open field mass warfare.

Numerous skirmishes at AMG Odin's as your advance forces probed, then laying face down when the main force came through. You'd have laughed at AC (can't remember exact words but...):

Me: "6-8fg Albs on our frontier now"
Someone else "Bah, 8fg always means 4fg"
Me "I'm dead at AMG Odin's counting them as they come through: 8fg means 8fg, now get to the relic keeps."

Even doing the wood runs was good fun, since there were so many Albs (and Hibs actually) on the frontier. Friday night there was quite a large 3-way battle in Odin's which was even more chaotic than usual.

Brilliant.

Thanks to all organisers

A really heart-felt thank you to all who organised and ran this three day event.

The whole episode breathed new life into my DAoC experience - thank you.

If this is an example of the new Albion then we have a great deal of hope for the future of the realm.

Inter-guid and inter-alliance co-operation was excellent. Little sign of the normal bickering and in-fighting. Orders generally followed and abnormally great tolerance for the inevitable delays when trying to get 10 full groups out of Odins and through the milegate without being noticed <grin>

Heh we had a "100+ mids in hadrian's!" "really 100?" "yes really 100!" TBH I don't think it was more than 60-80 though.
