Would first of all say a BIG THANKS to everybody that were at Grallarhorn and defended the relics this nigth.. was fun for a change to defend a little even if I'm not that entirely "helpful" when it comes to defending as I'm only in my early 30's sofar, but every bit counts? =)

And the other point of this thread.. the chaos afterwards when it came to repairing the relic doors and wood etc.etc.
I've done a little research and found these pages that can be helpful in the future for how much/what type of wood when it comes to repairing..

Also did a check on the relic doors and they're level 10 doors and the usual keep doors are level 2

hope this will help out all the woodcrafters out there when it comes to defence and repairing..

BTW: wouldn't it be an idea for all the guilds out there to take a little roundtrip in the frontiers to upgrade those keepdoors to level 5 or 6 just to give all the invaders a harder time to take some keeps.. upgrade all the doors on a thursday since most of the keeptaking seems to take place in the weekends.. and just as a final notice, after a keep is taken the doors are automaticly downgraded to level 1 doors... (after they've been repaired)

Heya :)

I agree we definatly need to get those doors upgraded...but we also need to setup a more swift defence force to counter any invaders, otherwise it doesnt matter how tough the doors are you just prolong the inevitable.

From my xp I know if an invasion force is destroyed a lot of people on it will give up and go xping...so when albs (or even hibs..) attack we just need dent them enough so that there too weak for the lord, if they die to the lord they'll probably return but with a much weaker force...

Yes, I'd also like to thank all those who responded to my somewhat desperate /t's for help. :)

I'd also like to thank the hib-army in Emain who sent us home to Mother Midgard at the AMG, if not for you guys me and Kithara probably would have been too late to discover the albs doing their "primetime" relicraid at Yggdra. :puke:

Thanks also to all who contributed to repairing the doors eventho the chaos of trying to find out if and if so who was going/getting wood :)

Thanks to all involved, you made Midgard proud last night(this morning *bah @ albs*)

Hopefuly a couple of problems experienced yesterday will be resolved in patch 1.48.

Firstly, that doors will close automatically once the repair level has reached 25% rather than 100%

Secondly, I gather there will be merchants available at the relic keeps selling Ebonwood to upgrade back up to lvl 10.

On the issue of funding, I would urge all guilds to have a slush fund specifically for dealing with this situation when the need arises. There comes a point (or level) in the game when cash no longer plays a part for an individual other than for crafting. At this point urge your peeps to contribute to a guild fund. I havent seen in which patch the proper guild fund becomes active, but you can always use an altchar as Nazgul do with Hyperstore currently located at Svasud (severly depleted after last nite so get yer wallets out Nazpeeps :) ) for this purpose until the proper fund is active.
