Releasedate for WoW?

Does anyone know when World Of Warcraft will be released and how does one fight? Is it the same as in DAoC or different?

i reckon beta will start late this year, so maybe summer '04 who knows really.

ostensibly its the same as DAoC: walk up to someone and hit then, or stand off and cast a spell etc~ but i think its designed to be alot more simpler.

oddly simplicity often makes for much more complex and tactical gameplay (you dont _need_ to have class x etc~) so i got some good hopes for it

Officially Blizzzard stated "3rd quarter of 2004"

But, keep in mind, Blizzard has a very good policy of releasing a game when it's done and done.

IT might stretch out to 1st Q of 2005 even if they find that WoW needs more content, tweaking, whatnot.

Yeah. I think they'll make it "great" or "perfect" and then get "whines" and then "tweak" and get more "whines" and "tweak" more and then notice that it's no longer "perfect" and their stuck with "fixing" the bloody thing with patches every freaking month.

beta in the beginning of 2004, but near the end of 2003 they going to tell us they didn't like the perspective system so they going to redo it, which will delay it to end 2004...at which time they will announce the removal of a race, and will take all the cool shit out...

But no worries, it will have AWESOME cut scenes ...

Mid takes crauch - 10 minute cut scene...etc
