As someone else who escaped from Thanet and went to Warwick (allbeit a few years ago) who won't be disappointed. The campus is fantastic. It has the largest arts centre outside London (if that's your thing), one of the largest students unions in Europe, lovely grounds to the campus, good teaching facilites and a very good reputation.

The business school particularly has a very good rep. In terms of employability (looking at it from the point of an employer now) a 2:i degree or better from Warwick puts you in the top tier of potential employees. I would certainly rank a 2:i from one of the top tier of universities higher than a first from one of the lesser universities. That is a general view though and some of the lesser universities have good reputations for certain subjects which would drag them up in my opinion.

Regarding the degree results in some circumstances I might even rank a 2:i as more preferable than a first - this will very much vary from candidate to candidate but a first can indicate that the student is very bright and/or hardworking but they might lack other skills such as social skills. Therefore make sure to develop some other interests because they can help distinguish you from the crowd.
