can anyone give me a good spec for a rej friar and also a decent template for one?

47rejuv, 50enhance and 22~ish parry.. If you are going to be heal-specced you might aswell run with a shield and a club so you can fit even more utility into your template plus you will most likely be the bg/grapple guy and you won't do any dmg on the tanks with 29 staff anyway

So that's what I would do

On my friar i went for
50 staff 38 enhance 34 rejuv rest parry.

The rejuv is nice the buffs are good but not as good as full enhance. Can always log my bot on to get better.
50 staff allows me to try to heal a bit with staff styles even when i get attacked. I also back my healing in combat up with vr2, hec heal, 25% heal bonus and wild healing.
I kinda like it but more playing my scout now, also i did not test it alot and obviously youre a bit less powerfull solo. But still more then adequate for solo pve, handeling up to purples easy unless they something special.

that is the worst spec i have ever seen mate, u wud have 34 rej to group.. and groups dont want friar with yellow resisists.

His spec was better than BOTH your spec's.

Either:
50 staff, 34 enhance, 34 rejuv, 9 parry.
or
50 enhance, 44 rejuv, 25 staff, 11 parry.

First one is best for solo and small groups.
Second one is better for full groups.

Dont have to say it that straight.

All i did was offer a suggestion. Although i have little time and dont really wanne elaborate i tried to say in short why i made those choices, although very briefly.

It is indeed intended for small group, it allows me to solo alot of stuff in pve. Meaning alot means if i could do more damage faster i could handle solo gatemaster in df, only reason why i fail is cause the adds spawn before i can kill him.

44 rejuv is indeed mostly intended for full groups but then youre solo ability and pve ability starts to suffer a bit imho. Thats why i stayed away from it unless i know i will be rvr in fg all the time.

Also pidgeonwholing people into the oblidged red resist is something i never really liked. I certainly can understand cookie cutter stuff cause mostly it has proven to be good, but that does not mean you have to disregard others people opinions. Heck one day you may realise that some of them where telling the truth and then they become the next cookie cutter :)

Anyway this all bit off topic so will leave it at this.

tbh, spec how "you" want to spec. It is after all your char and regardless of what certain (idiots) say, if you enjoy it then it doesnt matter :)

After much experimentation I settled on 29s 49e 44r spec, since I think Friars contribute more to the Alb cause when they aren't running into heavy nuke/cc territory. I'd recommend buying VR2, WH, MoH, getting 20%+ heal template etc if you go this route - makes even our poxy group heal count for something.

Solo fights you don't tend to die much, but then again you don't kill much either :) I find it's a fair trade.

Current template below, I'm reworking it atm for more cast speed and EP. Probably switch to using champ mace to help the process, especially since battler nerf.

I was rej spec, 44 rej 50 enh 27 staff rest parry, worked out well i kinda got bored of not being able to hit my targets so respecced back to 39 staff 50 enh 34 rej rest parry and template i made my own rejuv temp in about 1 hour had pretty much everything covered but wasnt the best in the world

Think my group specced Friar is 8 Staff 44 Rej 50 Enh 26 Parry, before the grapple nerf I had 0 staff but after that nerf you really need something to screw up inc tanks.
Just make a temp with a mace and a shield and switch to a fast staff when its needed so you get the most utility out of your temp.

Surely you'd want 18 staff for the snare?
