regarding NP on PvP and as a guild

kk firstly i just got to say "lol"

i read most of these "anti NP" "np sux" "i wana be NP but i cant admit it" posts and while a lot of u shit talk a few talk sense and say NP is skilled etc but u seem to not reply to these ppl u just go on to shit talk?

about all this "NP lvled to 50 in 3 days ganked greys then quit when ppl got higher lvls" thats pure BS and u know it. WL was red at one point to us FYI and stayed yellow at all other times with the odd blue con. most other guilds "teh zerg alliance" were blue con. non of the ppl we pwned were green/grey ffs. u all say we got to 50 that shows no skill? u dumb or what. everyone knows we did lair xp and everyone else TRIED to do lair xp but guess what we were there and we killed everyone who came. but OOPS guess that shows no skill either and we all sux cos we got no rl life right???? i bet if i say i go clubbing and have a GF u all go LOLOL GEEK STOP LYING.

u dont seem to understand what comes with XPING on PvP and hence why we got 50 first because we killed all who came. once most of us hit 50 the other zerg alliance took the spot.

and now the zerg got 500 lvl 50 ppl they own us? cos we had um 40? lol. i cant begin to count the number of times we owned 2x our number and i dont recall ever losing a 1FG vs 1FG. i got screens of killing most of the guilds in mass numbers.

this so called NAP is almost funny. wasnt it the truth that Epic guarded the portals while avalanche took a keep with relics? i havent been in NP long but jesus christ u guys whine more than the ppl from UO.

i also played beta DAOC and euro start daoc so dont giv me shit about what i know and dont. the only people i see complain if the people that we killed. im not saying we r unbeatable we often died to "teh ZeRg" but not without killing 80% of it.

another fact. without the latest RP bug only WL were above us. avalanche were like still 2 mill RP behind after like 1-2 weeks of NP inactivity. show us da skillz u talk about.

imo only WL are the only decent competition on pvp. the rest simply need numbers to win and have 0 skill. i only remember dying to avalanche at ports. died often to ppl there.

NP have a right to be proud they showed skill and now they get a little bored. PVP is KNOWN to not last and a pvp server is not a good thing for DAOC as the server pop on US shows.

Av has many players with good skill imo, i've only pvp'd a bit but we have beaten WL in fair fights a number of times.
NP is certainly well organised, but as for skill i don't know, only met them 3 or 4 (mostly when i was solo) times before they retired - probably because Av didn't exp in the Lair much.
Anyway in a game like this skill rarely makes a difference, numbers are much more of a factor. The only skill is choosing the right targets in the right order.

Third, I never lost a 1on1 to a NP even when they were red. Says nothing of course but neither do your statements.

A NAP is a NAP is a NAP, so Epic decided to take advantage of lots of enemy activity at the portals for some easy kills. Nerf, ban!

NP had 2nd most RP after 1-2 weeks of inactivity, namely christmas and new years week, but yeah uhuh if that makes you feel good then so be it.

Jeez why the fuck am I bothering here, these are just random statements, that although in a sentiment true in another sentiment opinions, amount to nothing.

There's no need for NP sucks, you did the PvE bit well and yes it included some PvP, but with all the big words that kept coming you sure turned out a big disappointment in the end. Thats 100% an opinion. I never saw any ownage from NP, some kills of people xping and thats about it. Certainly doesn't match what's been written here. Then again that's always been so with NP on Excal too, I'm not suprised or anything just thought I'd let you know.

was kinda funny, but not very effective if you try to lvl ^^

but fyi we didnt ding to 50 in malm hib ez is great exp with 2-3 grps at one spot too.

but i can only remember 2 fights with yellow con np fgs (with 1 fg too), one at the fins spot that we lost, came back and won, but very close (think 1-2 ppl alive ), and i think i remember that you took part in theese 2 fights too ;P

Im not active on pvp more but when i was Epic often showed high skills in fights and seem to be good organised, best fights was with wlz and epic, no doubt.

Im my experiences from excal and pryd NP are an extremely skilled guild and rightly so as they have time on their hands to play often. Most xperienced players wouldnt deny that. However the reason some are not liked is the extreme arrogance and disregard they have shown for other players. Quite simply np have made their own cross to bear by this. Granted this might just be a certain few but people tar the whole guild with this. Blowing your own trumpet is one thing but slagging off other players in forums or game is why u got a reputation.

I wanted to post this in the other thread but it got locked, TBH, when i played on prydwen i heard things about NP, thought they must have been a skilled guild and that is why some np are hated, but after reading what goes on in the forums i can see why NP are disliked now, its not because they are skillful, at least not entirely, its also because of some of the attitudes a handful of np members have here, i dont think i need to quote any lines.

You will never get any respect by acting like most people do here at Barrysworld. Lets say that 10% of the EU DAOC-community is active on these boards, where 1% of them has a decent behaviour. The skill level in this game, once you understand all classes and their capabilities, is minimal. Beating 2fg when you are only one either requires an ambush, or for the 2fg's to be unexperienced (all stuck together, breaking mezz etc).

They have 400 radius 72sec. AoE mezz. Pbaoe never was and will never be 1sec. on any realm. And the difference between 2.5sec and 3sec cast can be ignored since every1 can get buffs and proper RAs to bring the casting speed to an equal state. Btw mana eld has the same pbaoe as an ice wiz(same casting speed, radius, base dmg etc). And ofc albs never zerg...

I dont think the 2sec cap on casting works tbh, not for pbaoe anyway since fully buffed with 313 dex i cast pbaoe in about 1 second, and if i quickcast it while buffed it actually casts pbaoe 2-3 times slower (as if i wasnt buffed) so it seems the 2second cap only works for quickcast, makes a lot of sense ^^

and also exe...please notice the word INSTA...that kinda changes stuck...albion sorcerers can stick up their 72 sec 400 area spell in their arses with 2 sec casttime...its NOT INSTA...so ANY decent healer can outmezz a sorcerer..

Insta is 300 radius and sorcs have 400 radius 3sec castable mezz, with buffs and RAs cast time will be much lower so ...

Just look at camlann, compare the number of sorc's to the number of healers or bards. Its not just the insta mezz, its better armor, insta heals, end song. Bard and healer are both pure support, sorc is half support half damage dealer and thats why they aren't as good. Let wizzies do the damage, give clerics ranged ae mezz, and remove sorc completely
Also the 2sec cast time limit definately does not exist, try casting a spell like amnesia while fully buffed, i was getting closer to 1sec cast time than 2.
Albs lack pbae, they have no defining class just for pbae, unlike hibs (chanter) and mids (spiritmaster) - well most people who make those classes make them for pbae.
Most people who make a wiz go fire, most people also agree that albs aren't as good as hibs or mids.

Personally I've never had any problems with NP on either Excal or Camlann, the ppl I've talked to have been nice no more no less.

The nerve of someone from the Avalanche guild complaining about NP being higher levels and not giving them a fair fight is pretty funny tho, as (some wierd name) TheLamer (aptly picked lastname I have to agree), a chanter and his dwarf zerker buddy Ridiculous(or something close) both from Avalanche, wiped our _UNGUILDED_ group of IRL friends trying to exp in DF hib side every time we got in for about an hour straight (we all usually died to one PBAE blast so I guess the little kid must've felt big and bad) before some Ars Necandi came and drove them off, no grey-ganking in Avalanche, no sir.

As to ppl not liking NP because of what some members says on a bulletinboard such as this, I just have to say that if you take anything that's said on the internet dead serious you need to get your head examined.

I know Xanatea likes to win from the days of Diablo 2 release when he was competing with an IRL friend of mine for the #1 spot on the ladder(GryM-Mannen) and had to go away for some time and he asked my friend if he could take a break in exping so he wouldn't get too much of a lead over him

Maybe he liked the competition I don't know.
