does anyone know a program that will let you do different refresh rates for different resolutions, then automatially change when you switch res? i.e. say my desktop is 1280x1024@60hz, then it switch to a game thats in 1024x768 and want a refresh rate of 72

im having a hard time even changing the rate, only option i ever have is 60 hz :(. this is with NVIDA card by the way.

30.82 are the latest 98 drivers, stick on either powerstrip as Willier suggested that will let you change refresh rates on the fly, or various refresh rate programs which can allocate a different refresh rate to a resolution. Obviously unless you turn Vsync off, you won't get a rate that's anything other than your monitor frequency.

If you find you get wierd 'tearing' effects in some games (particularly evident on the edges of buildings, doorways and so on) you'll need to enable vsync.

aye summo even if the frame rate is less than the vertical refresh rate I still get tearing.

Powerstrip only lets me go up to 85 Hz when I can get 120.....god damn that prog.

Cant seem to get around it.

On the refresh rate subject. I've got a shiney new Iiyama Vision Master Pro 454 (mmm) and it should do 1600x1200 a 102Hz.

In the Windows XP control panel it seems to have capped it to 85.
Graphics card is Abit Geforce 4 Ti4200.

Any way to get the most from it?

You should be able to set it at 102hz, with the link in my previous post ;)

I've already got the iiyama drivers in.

I think it's sorted. I updated the GF4 drivers and can now do 1600x1200 at 100Hz which is close enough! Thanks though.
