RHCP are totally old man jizz music, if they had of left californication as it was, it'd would have been OK, it was a good album, but they persued it and are now a boring pile of shit, in league with travis, toploader and oasis.(travis/toploader were never any good)

Indeed. There were signs of them mellowing out and going all dross (porcelain, most notably) but it was still an impressive album. By The Way is not. Its pretty terrible infact, and easily rates amongst my most disliked CDs of 2002.

Their 'new look' reflects the new album perfectly of course, being Suit muzak.
