I've just got my new Xbox. It came with free PGR4, which is pretty shit. I've been playing Oblivion obsessively on it, but eventually I'm going to get bored of it, or finish it. When I owned one before, I used to buy a lot of games, but none of them really hooked me apart from Oblivion and Saints Row. Dead Rising, meh, Gears of War, meh etc etc.

So recommend me my next game. I've already finished GTA4 with TdC, so thats out.

Lego Indy is great fun, I'd recommend Mass Effect as well. Ninja Gaiden 2 is sex.

might want to try the demo but there is too human which is coming out this week. a futuristic crawler rpg set in the norse world.

personally found it shite, all you do to attack is press forward or the trigger buttons.

so its more like what i would not recommend.

Been playing through Dirt recently and is very good. Always play co-op GRAW 2 with a few mates, which is fun.

Just waiting for Fable 2 and Fallout 3 now.

I'm not that big a fan of FPS on the console, though I must admit to playing Oblivion as a stealth-em-up.

I'll try and download of demos of a few of there. Fallout 3 looks like my sort of game, I'll see what Too Human and Mass Effect play like.

Ninja Gaiden is too hardcore to keep my interest for long. The boss fights in the original got on my tits.

I've got a lonely copy of Lost Odyssey at home left over after I sold my 360. Didn't manage to complete it but what I played was excellent. The combat is turn-based style as opposed to run and gun which might not appeal but can't beat it for storyline.

Yours cheap if you want it as it's no good to me.

Gears of war 2 coming sometime in November, think that'll be great;)
You could get Rock Band or the new Guitar hero when that comes out, tons of fun..

The demo of Castle Crashers was fun with a few friends, up until the sprites killed my 360 and I had to box it up to send off to Frankfurt.

Army of Two and Earth Defense Force 2017 are great with a co-op partner, rubbish on their own.

Mercenaries 2 has just come out, and a JRPG named Infinite Undiscovery. Don't know if they're any good, mind.

Thanks for the suggestions. I think I'm going to wait for Fallout 3, Oblivion is a huge game, and it'll take me a long time to get through.

Wise decision. I can't really say much more than that, but believe me when I say people are going to love Fallout 3.
It's a big step up from Oblivion, and a worthy successor to the original Fallout games.

oblivion is a huge game, easy to get all the achievements if willing to stick it out.

Speaking of Fallout / Fallout 2, are they still worth playing for someone who never did?

I'm in the gog.com beta and they've got 'em both for sale. I'm fine with playing old games, but y'know, some just don't age well (gameplay wise, I don't care about the graphics).

I can't comment on details :)

As for whether or not FO 1&2 are still worth playing, I would say if you like deep, open ended RPG's, with great story lines, and intricate character customization, then both are a definite must play.

imho they are worth playing but both have aged a bit 2nd one less so both have few side quests that lead no where, but if you must play an old rpg then planescape torment should be the one you play.
