Recommend a cable router

Hi

I'm switching from ADSL to Cable and would appreciate some advice on routers ....

I'm assuming that a cat5 cable, set-top box -to- network card setup would give me zero firewall protection, so am assuming at the moment that a router is in order.
I'd like a router that can be configured for NAT, as I do not want to have a software firewall on my client pc's, ever! ;) I have a 5 port hub, so router doesn't have to have one built in. I'd also like the future option of being able to setup some specific rules for certain ports, within the NAT setup.

Thanks in advance

I have a Netgear RT314, whoich is a router/switch combo. They also produced the RT311 when I bought mine, which is just a router.

Just had a look on Dabs, and I'm a little out of date there. The Netgear FR114P Cable/DSL ProSafe Firewall/Print Server looks like a good deal for £90, and Linksys have a couple of cheap models, though I've heard mixed feedback about Linksys.

That does look like a good deal actually, my netgear rp114 cost the same earlier this year.

My RT314 cost £180 2 years ago. How times have changed.
