Its fun but people are waaay too good at it and the community sucks. Soon as one side is loosing they all quit, most quit soon after start if they don't get a good hero. May give it another go sometime.

I cant really recall the channels, but on mIRC on random quakenet server theres loads of european dota clans and public channels. If you get into the right channels your gaming experience is enhanced quite a bit compared to playing public games on bnet.

Eg. no leavers, more teamplay, higher skilled players ect.

although the skill level varies a great deal there's no leavers and people are somewhat friendly. they have strict ban policy that the users have to enforce which helps alot on leavers...

Eve is one of those games I really want to get into, but im just not motivated enough to learn the controls, how everything works etc :/ which is a shame, as the game seems to be one of the "better" mmo's.

I picked up a copy of Jade Empire for the pc for £8 at virgin yesterday, it's a pretty good game, plays a lot like Knights of the Old Republic, but set around Chinese mythology and the like instead of the early days of Star Wars. Quite a nice action rpg, and well worth it for the price. single player only though, wish there was a co-op play mode, but then again, might not work that well with the type of game.
