elo =)

I just got a new computer a few days ago, but i'm having some problems with it.

I got a KT3 Ultra2 MSI Motherboard (with Via chips) and a XP 2000+ AMD CPU and 256 MB PC-333 DDR2700 RAM, using my old GXF card a Geforce2 MMX 400

My problem: when i play DAoC, and after 5-15mins my computer just restarts, have tryed playing Quake3 and half-life, no problems there.
I have tryed with operasion system win2k and winXP same problem, have tryed with the newest (and some old ones) nvidia driver for my GFX card, tryed with the newest (and older ones) 4in1 driver for my motherboard, tryed changing my viaagp.sys file, with a fixed one (some sayed this would help with the bridge problem between Via and AGP), Well i'm going mad here.

Anyone! if u have tryed same problem, and know what to do, plz post, or if u have some ideas plz post man, going mad here =)

You might try using slower memory timing settings in your Bios - that solved the crashes/reboots I experienced with my new computer (dual MP1800+, Geforce 4 Ti4400, Asus mobo).

.. of course, I'm assuming that you have already determined that there's nothing wrong with your memory in the first place - by way of switching DIMMs.

Also check your bios for tempreture auto turn offs.
I know my chaintech board was set to 75degrees out of the box and would shut itself off after 2-5mins of DAoC.

got it fixed now, set my memory timing down, and disabled something that did my RAM faster, but blocked some of the address on the RAM block.

thx

Downgrading new bought hardware to stop errors, might aswell stick with your old configuration..

I recon you check what this memory is supposed to handle, same goes for your CPU.

Set has AMD XP 2000+ 1.67 Ghz coreclocking.

I suggest you go to Google.com, search for memtest and make a bootable disk -> run the program.

Try different speeds here, if it's corrupt with the supposed speed then go back to your dealer and claim a new memory stick :D

Really, downgrading newly bought hardware to fix problems isn't the best sollution, better yet, downgrading can hurt your hardware...
