Reaver vs Mosquito

Never tried a Mosquito - in release or beta. I did however have a Reaver cert in beta and enjoyed it immensely.

How do they square off against each other? Does the Reaver totally destroy Mosquitos or what? Does the Mosquito actually prove viable against infantry?

Thoughts please

Mosquito can kill a Reaver, there is no way a Reaver can use missiles against another airborne vehicle as they are too slow(unless you sneak up on a stationary one). So weapon wise they are equal. At the end of the day its Armor vs Manuverability and once you get on someones tail (or have someone on your tail) its all about speed...

Chaingun against people on the ground is useless, against vehicles its not bad ..

Surely mosquito is next to useless alongside a Reaver? I'd trade the slight speed of the Mosquito for the Reaver's missiles any day.

Shot down 2 reavers today in a mosq on a different server, got shot down once by a reaver - this was due to me lagging and flying into him though.

Mosquitos are just highly manueverable - gives them the edge on a reaver.

You are supporting them. Mosquitos have builtin radar that give squad members enemy positions on the minimap within a certain range.

exactly! and to add to that why shouldn't the squad on the ground kill what's on the ground? or are they busy doing other peaceful things?

I'm a full time joystick jockey and rarely come up against Mosquitos, but when I do I hate them.

As they don't seem to appear on radar they will often get the jump on you in the air and unless your a complete noob pilot if you attack first you will win.

I'm certing in Mosquito next

Server deffo needs more Mosquito pilots and less reaver pilots.

Mind you, seeing a swarm of reavers is pretty damned impressive
