As you may know, I'm a bit of a template perfectionist, trying to get the best stats at any price :p

I've been working on a reaver template, inspired by a challenge I was given: 100 dex/str/con, 11 flex, resists capped bar matter, 200+ hits, capped melee speed and quickness.

This is what I have so far:

The main problem is I need a few more slots in the SCing to get that Energy resist higher.

Does anyone know of any extremely high utility belts, or any gems with both dex and con caps on them? I don't have access to a Market Explorer at work :)

reaver is resistant to crush & almost none is playing with crush. change it to 16 & cap heat

Valid point Aussie, however most crush resist comes from items. I'll bear that in mind though.

Traldors belt is a good util belt with 5 resists iirc, and yeah drop crush a bit for more heat since reavers chain is resistant to it.

Well apart from traldors there really isn't many good high util belt around mate, unless you use a malamis belt in there and get a high util ring ie oblivion/zahurs.

OK with Arties, they are the basic needed. More can be used but not needed

5.10 or Dragon ring not fitting in there at all? (Asking cause I got them already :p)


Try keep matter at 20+% btw too, will be needed soon :(

The main problem is getting +25/26 to con str and dex caps, without sacrificing other stats. Zahur/Dragon/5.10 rings aren't bad, but they don't include the +10 stat caps of Heavens/Katorii for example. They both have 'ok' utility anyway. :touch:

The belt has low utility; dex cap could be got from Buffeting Buckler for example, but you really need as many imbue spaces as you can for 4 stats. I've tried all combinations of many many items.

Ideally, the jewel needs replacing with one of higher utility. If anyone knows of a gem with +5 con cap, and +3 dex cap or more, it would be incredibly useful.

It's impossible for most classes to cap matter as well as everything else, I am fully aware of the Warlock situation.

Warlocks will basically insta-kill whatever class they target on impact, matter resists or no resists. After that, they have to take time to reload, and will be dead before they manage, if the group is playing efficiently. They are unlikely to target tanks first, lets be honest.

It's not bad, but only helps with 3 slots, as the con on it is not enough to exclude the need to put +con on an imbue slot. (without using katorii belt, you have to use buffeting buckler, which means 4 less slots to imbue).

Basically need a gem with +5concap and +3 dexcap on it, or a high utility belt that gives 4+ resists and preferably a stat.

are you sure about the stats for GoV - according to VoS it has +5 dex cap at level 4 (i dont own one so i dont know if VoS is wrong )

Just curious as to the logic of capping +con cap on a Hybrid class... you'd be better off going for +hits cap, which will probably also make imbuing a little easier.

It's so hard too make one, while bearing in mind how hard osme of the pieces are too get, I suppose it gives a positive drive and initiative too PvE more.. :p

I have reworked my template, changed a few things, am rather happy with it, although con and qui are low.

Well each con point is about 4hp, so +26 would = about 100hp. Most items that have +concap also have +hitcap on them which is a bonus.

its full name is sililias necklace - it should exist on mid as its from a ToA mob called Sililia :) its the egg of youth mob in oceanus notos (also has a rather good damage add charge if you run solo alot)
iirc sililia was fixed i a recent patch and you cant kill her without dropping all the pillars on the encounter so it wont be easy to farm for this

Body: 20 <-|It was either body or cold at 26, It's hard too get both at 26, with the amount of PIE in template.
also I'd rather be nuked for 300 cold rather than 500 cold, instead of being rooted still for 10s more.
Cold: 26 <-|You have too sacrifice something on your template too gain in other areas, especially as a hybrid.
Heat: 26
Energy: 29
Matter: 10 <-|I know Warlocks.. but seriously, from what I've seen, a fully buffed tank with capped matter, won't

last 2 seconds anyway versus this class, so capping it isnt going too make much difference.

Crush: 25+2 <-| effective 27% crush, could lower this as Aussie has said, this could give me extra body %.

Still working on it, I'll let you know how I get on, I think the resist issue for Matter/body can be resolved using

an additional item in the template, like a shield (cant use whip cos of battler charge has too be on), taking +28

piety away, and replacing some resists instead, I'll try figure it out.

*.* Also +Flex on items is actually '+All Melee' i've just put +Flex instead too make it easier too read, same for

+Piety, its +Acuity (same thing - just SC proggy doesnt add +Acuity in form of Piety too reavers template).

I believe +SR hardly effects your bomb, I believe piety is the deciding factor?

Not a bad template, I'll bung it into SC calc and see how I can improve it.

+SR increases SQ damage I think, thats why L50 SR reavers hit harder with the bomb than those who spec lower in SR. Just having +7 or so that your effective 50 Sr spec, youd do the same damage a 50 Sr reaver would, thus I think this would work with SQ aswell. I am not too sure yet though, not ml8 yet.. :(

you have to wear your artis for the full re use timer to be able to /use or /use2 them so swapping out your SoM isnt really a good plan (sure you can do it first run or during a break but is it really necessary? ) also the use2 ability of SoM stops you from having a clerics heal proc on your self (something about already haveing a defensive proc)

no need to be ML8 to test it, SR + piety is for the RR5 ability not ML8 ability.
