reaver question

quite a simple one
do reavers need piety and how much
also why do loads of reavers have atlantis tablet (AT) in there templates

made a nice reaver template but then looked at some other and noticed the piety and AT not so sure its good now
my template

edit its got 10% mellee speed too

so i guess i could drop parry and shield skills to get some piety but should i

Piety affects power pool. I imagine it also affects lifetap and dot damage. Don't think it affects Leviathan proc.

Reavers have AT for the 5% resist piercing, it's the only resist pierce item they can get. Effectively means a 5% damage increase for lifetap, dot, leviathan proc and RR5 ability.

I always ran with piety in my template, but then tried damn hard not to gimp anything else

From what you're suggesting, your template sounds solid enough. It's not as if there are big keep defenses and zergs to bomb any more so you can always get a crafted weapon and get Piety SCd onto it for the rare occasions you do need it.

With the new changes comming in for blocking vs dual wielders +shield sounds more and more attractive to me... I'd not sacrifice + shield for +pie
