Reaver Bomb Groups

Good Day Chaps


Along with Stalky (rr9 reaver) for a good time we ran reaver bomb groups - pre and post twf nerf.

I intend on starting these up again come cluster, so bascially Im calling all ml8 rr5 reavers & a few rr7+ minis to sign up to the groups Voice comms using new ventrillo would be standard, this only works with good commication as it requires very good timing

Im toying with this idea for a zerg killer group :

4 x ML8 RR5+ Reavers -
2 X RR7 Clerics
1 x RR7 Mini
--------------
Classes I would like to try out more in grp :

1 x RR5 Friar
or
1x RR5 Heretic

or maybe run with 2 Minis - for the needed SoS & AM

The idea is to bomb - and bomb good, using SoS & AM3 to enable the dropping of up to 4 ML8 Reaver Bombs at same time. ST3 or Heretic rr5 RA - not sure which would be more useful.

Note the lack of sorc - the idea is to get in, and get in fast and let lose !

Depending on play times/frequency I may be able to make with Gelagnite almost RR5 (40k away) ML8 reaver

Cause its hard for a cleric to get Di3 and all the other basic toys needed -

Purge
MCL/RP 2
PR
BoF

etc...

Just easier if your RR7 or above Same applies to mini too, as AM3 is 30 points alone.

think points could be better spent then going from DI2 to DI3 just not a good enough returen for an extra 1000 Hp's.

perfect setup would imo be
2X Clerics
1X ST Friar
1X Mincer
1X Sorc
3X Reaver

u need sorc imo for the zerg not to split up to much and without a good sorc u risk to be mezzed and ganked before u reach a good bomb position

Id say either an ice wizard to finish them off, or a heretic for uber magic resists would do a better job of filling the sorc spot.

ST3 or Heretic rr5 RA - not sure which would be more useful.

Remember that your actually comparing ST3 to the Heretic RR5 + DI3 + PR + AOE damage potential (nice for mopping up after the bomb) + monster rez for when the bombing goes wrong. Oh and they can be banelord, that's another ML8!

Hey,

I'm bumping this 'cos I think it's a good idea. I thought clustering would be inc sooner but it's taking it's time isnt it?! So I thinking of running these groups to warm us up a little for clustering. I know theres not that many rr5+ reavers who are active but I'll contact the most active ones in-game when I see you next. The clerics / minstrels / friars OR heretics who are interested in this setup, and who are willing to try this out a few nights a week, update this post with your in-game name so I can PM you in-game and maybe get this running for a few weeks. Seeing as most alb guilds neglect their reavers, i'm sure it won't be hard finding 4 who are desperate for groups like this!
