well not really too sure if this is the right place, but im sure some kind soul will move it for me if it isnt well just thought this would be the easiest way to contact every1 at once....

So ive been really busy last few weeks, havent had a chance to play, and tbh havent really missed it much. thought maybe it was time to throw in the towel and stop playing. So i get up this morning and find an email in my inbox from a guy in my guild saying theyre all moving to mid/excal...so i decided instead of stop playing altogether, may as well give mid a shot, so atm we are testing mid/pry, if all goes well, we shall be moving to mid/excal....but dont panic, i wont be deleting any chars from alb

so just wanna say a massive thanks to every1 on alb, these in particular:

Missmils - my first and best friend, thanks for everything, (and if u wanna come mid/excal then u will prolly know where to find me)

Dafft - one of my best daoc friends, keep in touch, see u on the battlefield some time

Timber - another of my best friends, who introduced me to some other great folks, had some really cool times

Golena, Killswitch & Moggit - what can i say? co-founders of Frozen Heart, great people, and brutally honest you taught me more than u know during our time in FH

Alc/DT - great bunch of guys, my first home...thanks for everytihng, and for putting up with me in the early days

Jaem - a really nice guy, one of the nicest guys ive met on daoc

Sorry i cant list every1, if i didnt list you it doesnt mean u werent as important as anyone else, just that some people had to be left off the list and it just happened to be you

So thanks to every1 for everything u have done, and keep in touch... gonna miss u lot, but il remember u all

See u on the battlefield in a few months and il be on alb/exc every now and then to see how ure all coping without me

nah wasnt too hard, just got fed up of it, i never really play any more. when i did rarely log on i just found myself either standing in housing browsing ME, or sitting at goth bindstone chatting to people, and i would rather not pay £24 every month to have a chat, when i can do that for free on msn... i pay to play a game and talk to friends at the same time...was just time for a change, be it a change of realm or a change of game....ive been playing quite a few new games recently, so no harm in trying mid rather than just giving up completely, and like i said, im not deleting, so i can always come back if it comes to it.....ive been a pure alb for over 2 years now, its time for a change....plus would be pretty cool to fight against all those people ive helped and been helped by for the last 2 years

Going from Albion to Midgard Id say is an increase in difficulty after TOA, at least now that we going over to NF. Albion not so good at FG v FG-in-Emain warfare, but have supreme classes for RvR (keep warfare) and PvP in places like DF.
Some examples;
Hib and Mid CC are close to useless against big zergs (insta mez on first line... maybe get spell of to mez second line before someone fire something at boltrange at them). Sorch longrange 1.2 sec mezspam gives alot of trouble, and often death, for any zerg.
Alb nukers are very powerful. Theurgist petspam is always a laugh. A 50 Fire/18 Earth wizzy got the best of both Darkspec RM (2.8 sec 219 DD nuke) and RCspec RM (highdmg bolts, GTAE) + some improvements (higher dmg on specbolt and a third lowdmg specbolt) and the same DD/cspeed/range on AE as any RM. Dark and RC RMs have two useful abilities wizzies cant have.. they can spec lowlv lowdur nearsight (25%/35%) and got RM speed. The last ability isnt any useful behind a keepwall and got mayor nerf with the arrival of speedwarps,
I also found PvE to be alot easier as Alb, but I had a necro farmbot
I played Alb/Pryd (51 sorch, 50 necro), but enjoy playing my 50 frosty thane on Mid/excal the most nowadays. Id say its a tad easier to be Alb, but alot funner to be Mid

NF is around the cornor... this is really a bad idea to swap realms right now.... when NF hits in a few weeks (i hope) u will still only be low level unless u play 24/7 and u won't be TOA'ed for sure... so u will miss atleast the first time in NF...

+ ALB will rull in NF :worthy:

tbh... don't delete the Alb chars.... buy a new account and try out Mid if u like... but make sure u can return to Alb when u get of mid...

Galoma, thats the plan we are all buying new accnts and levelling from scratch. i realise im gonna miss the start of NF but im not too bothered, and i will have to learn everything about the realm (the layout of the realm and the classes) all over again, but thats all part of the fun. basically im just not having fun any more, so its either try a new realm, or quit daoc.

if and when i get bored of mid, chances are i can come back to alb and start having fun again there after all i have 5 lvl 50s, and 3 45+s on alb, and i know the realm and classes inside out, its just a breath of fresh air

cool good to hear ure guild is doing well, il have a chat with u soon when we go live on mid/excal, we are all gonna have new accnts so no /level....and we are all gonna run into emain at lvl 1 so look out for us some time next week
